TarheelRick Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 Very well done. That paint job is amazing. I have this kit and was contemplating what to do with it - I have "heard" the negative comments. Your build may just inspire me to move from my original intention of short track racer.
Dragonhawk1066 Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 That looks great! Yours is proof some kits just take a little more effort, but they're still fun!
Plowboy Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 Nicely done Tommy! I always appreciate when someone takes a kit that some dismiss and turn it into something like this! Not every kit is shake and bake. This model proves what a difference a little extra effort can make. Well done!
happy grumpy Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 Awesome work . So nice and clean, and well photographed. ?

About the panel lines......I do all mine using Roger Hayes' (Plowboys) method of simply scribing the existing lines deeper. Nothing else, no accent color or anything. It's easy to do and looks tons better than any other way. In most cases, adding a wash to the lines actually distracts from the appearance.
Bills72sj Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 That turned out dang nice. Thanks for the tips. I am actually going to print them out and put them in my kit box. I do batch builds and 64-67 GTOs are high on the priority list.
slusher Posted July 8, 2022 Posted July 8, 2022 Beautifully done! Best build I have ever seen of this kit!!
drifterdon Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Amazing job on your '67 GTO. I have a couple of these kits in the stash and hope I can do as well with mine as you did with yours.
Wolf Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Absolutely gorgeous GTO! My favourite colour too! I just recently got back into building cars and spend almost no time on Facebook so I’d be hard pressed to believe, looking at your build, that this kit has such a bad wrap. Simply beautiful Tommy! Cheers, Wolf
