Zippi Posted August 15, 2022 Author Posted August 15, 2022 (edited) The weather and humidity (85°/ 69% humidity) didn't look all that great today but I thought it would have to do so I got after it. I Got the Tamiya X-22 Clear on the body. I thinned it with Mr. Color Leveling Thinner 2-1. It has just a touch of orange peel but with the weather I think it came out pretty nice despite the weather conditions. I'll let it gas out for a couple days then wet sand & polish. Chevy II Posted August 15, 2022 Posted August 15, 2022 Did you wrap the rear coil overs with the same Jonard Tools 30AWG wire you show on page 2? Without the outer cover?

TooOld Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Great color Bob , it looks great ! Just shows that a little humidity shouldn't stop you , it's always around 70% here during the summer but it gets much higher at times . I spray in the garage then immediately move the body into the air conditioning and place it on a table under a ceiling fan so the air is circulating as it dries , works every time !

My spray booth is in the garage also. I just leave what I've just sprayed in the both and put a cover over the front.
mrm Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Wow! You absolutely nailed the color. Who would’ve thought that Tamiya color could look so good? The color suits the build perfectly.
