I could build 50 of those, here is a well used but in good condition save the rust and dust, that would be a perfect barn find if only pops would sell it. I learned to drive in one of these , I was 8 years old. Dad modified the pedals so I could reach them. I could barely see in front. A lot of good memories of that truck. I just love how that kit goes together. This was how I remember these, they were already getting old and we saw less and less as they were replaced.

Thanks for looking.

Nicely done!  I especially like the debris in the box, faded rubber on the tires and rusted surfaces that were originally painted white.

That is one good looking AD truck Mario.  Great weathering.  I just love the old Chevy truck man.  Wife and I have a 1:1 49 Chevy pickup Restomod that we take to shows.

Very convincing rust and paint effects!

There's just something about this kit that cries out to be built in such a manner. I built one almost thirty years ago and did it in a similar fashion.

But yours looks much better.

Great Weathering! I've seen many trucks looking like that on Farms here in the Central Valley. Straight Sheet metal, but killer surface rust. You nailed that look.

That truck is really sweet.  Only thing it needs is a low tire or two...LOL.

How did you get the windshield to look delaminated like that?  Nice touch.

Thanks Joe, the debris in the box are leaves cut in an old blender. nothing like the real thing !

Excellent! Great weathering and detailing. Really like these trucks!

Thank you Doyle, same here, I always felt a strong connection to these old chevy trucks, having learned to drive in one.

Thanks Bob, I almost envy you, how I wish I could ride in one of these once again, if only for a day.

Thanks David, looks like you hit a tree stump with yours. Great crash effects, they sure could take a beating back then.

Thanks Alan, I find that a weathered old beater has an artistic quality to it, As much as I appreciate a nice clean and shinny model, I can't resist the urge to depict nature 's inevitable  decay from time to time.

Thank you Steve, The effect was a highly diluted mix of flat clear and  very little grey paint applied with an airbrush.

Mario, looks real, like the 100's I've seen in my lifetime..

Thanks Al, same here, when I was young, these were starting to disappear, and the ones that remained were getting rarer and rusty. Especially in rural areas where I grew up.

Excellent weathering on this rusty old workhorse, Mario - is this cigarette tobacco in the PU bed (I heard this could be used to simulate autumn leaves)?

Thanks Helmut. The leaves are ... real leaves chopped in a blender, I did the same trick on my opel blitz truck.

Great truck! I love a weathered old pickup. When I built this kit I had issues getting the front end to sit right. I’ll have to try another

Thanks Tom. I had the same issue with the first one I built. There was a little bit of flash, enough too throw it off. all the ones I built after went on great.
