This kit came in different brands over the years. The Aoshima is no different. A fairly simple kit but the shape is good in my view. I tinted the windows since the interior is practically unusable because of the extra space for the batteries (non included), being a former motorized kit. But still, after building it , it looks very decent for a shelf model. Painted Tamiya camel yellow with TS 13 as top coat. I might be wrong but I think this is the only model of the superbeetle available.

Thanks for looking.

Outstanding model, Mario - I have this kit in my stash and was very disappointed when I checked the parts. You proved that even this kit can be turned into a fine replica (I didn't expect that)

I want to transform mine into a 1973 Porsche Salzburg rally beetle.

Great looking build. Noticed some decals? on the front hood. The soft lighting and the background always ads to the appearance.

Nice looking Bug Mario.  I had a 72 Super Beetle back in the day.

Thanks Bob, these were so much fun to have. I miss my 66 yellow beetle.

Thanks Helmut. The kit interior is practically unusable , that's why I tinted the windows but the body would be a solid base for a 3d printed parts  project.

Thanks David. The decals on the hood are from the kit. one reads "love bug" and the other reads "super beetle".

Very nice indeed. The Camel yellow suits it well.
Is this kit the same tool as the Imia kit?

Thanks Sonny. As far as I know, it is the same ,Imai was the original manufacturer and Aoshima re boxed it some years later and it's still available. Only the decals changed a bit over the years. Makes a decent shelve model but can be use as a good base for more ambitious projects.
