bbowser Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 Finished this one last night. Only my second Tamiya kit, everything people say about them is true. The body on this one was so nice I decided not to paint it, just some foil work. Thanks for looking, comments welcome. 12
Hard_2_Handle_454 Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 I've been wanting one. The kit looks great. Good job.
SpikeSchumacher Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 Very nice! Love those Tamiya kits as well.
TransAmMike Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 (edited) Well thats definately a car I've never seen before. Pretty cool and nice job Bruce? Edited January 21, 2023 by TransAmMike
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted January 21, 2023 Posted January 21, 2023 One of my favorite cars. Super! Checking out the side draft carbs. Had carbs just like that on my 1:1 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV.
bbowser Posted January 21, 2023 Author Posted January 21, 2023 Thanks for the comments! I just noticed the attachment nubs I missed on the rear hood (bonnett?), have since been removed. This kit also had great metal transfers for the front and rear insignias.
beeRS Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 Well done. That’s beautiful. Hard to believe the body is unpainted!
Justin Porter Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 The A110 is definitely one of the gems of the Tamiya classic sports car range. So happy you got a chance to build and enjoy one so much.
Bainford Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 Cool Alpine. Nice work. I really like these cars. I was in the market for a 1: 1 a bunch of years ago, until the values rose out of my reach.
happy grumpy Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 Excellent work Bruce, this kit does not pop up often in here. A fine kit from Tamiya.
wallyk 50 Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 One of these kits is for sale on Modelcar Marketplace (Facebook) posted on 1/19 by Abel Munoz Hermosa. $50 + shipping. It is still available. I recently purchased a Fiat 500 Abarth kit from him that I had been searching for for a year. Good guy to deal with.
Rich Chernosky Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 Bruce...that's a great little kit and you did it justice.
MeatMan Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Well done! I built that kit a couple of years ago and agree with your assessment.
'70 Grande Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Lovely little build! Does this kit come with a simplified chassis or some detailed suspension parts underneath?
