I've been after this kit for a while now, since the James Bond movie " the spy who loved me came out ". I did not want to build the submarine version.(it's a different kit). Builds up nicely like a typical Fujimi kit. Not a lot of parts but a great looking car. I just finished my new background for our European friends. I added a couple of resin case and bottles of Jack Daniels near the Bar delivery door . Would have prefer Martini but I could not find any. James Bond in Paris.

Thanks for looking.

New background is awesome. Was there a car in the photo? ?

Been eyeing the Esprit as well. Yours turned out nice. Any issues with chassis/body fit (starting to dislike Fujimi for this).

Sweet little Lotus, Mario. Loving the new backdrop too. Very cool, and looks great with the Lotus.
I have one of these kits in progress (nearly done actually, just need to finish it up ). It’s nice kit, a bit simple, but the subtle shapes of the S1 body shell are nicely rendered, as your build attests. Nice work.

Cool new backdrop Mario. It's hard to focus on the Lotus when there is so much to look at in the background. It can pass for Paris, Montreal or even New Orleans. Well done on both builds.

Cheers,

David. ??

That's a first class backdrop, it's framed the car perfectly.

Thanks Tony.

Thanks Harry. the body just fits the chassis very well, it has locator pins, you have to pry a little but it goes on pretty good.

Very well done Mario! I can almost imagine 007 peeking out of one of the upstairs windows ?

Thanks Mathias. ?

You captured the look of this Lotus perfectly, Mario - typically 70's design ! Nice background, too!

Thanks Helmut.

Thanks Trevor. I agree, the has a basic wedge shape typical of that era but the shapes are subtle but elegant. I look forward to see yours.

This could be a movie poster. The color white is perfect for this Lotus.

Thanks Robert . Appreciated

Thanks David. Agreed, there are streets here in the old Montreal that look pretty much like this.

You did a really nice job on your Lotus! I really enjoyed viewing the photos of it against your superb European background. The combination looks very realistic!

I missed that one when you first posted it. Another beautiful build from your bench and once again a beautiful way to display it.

I always loved the Esprit. Classic, elegant lines compared to today's huge and busy mid-engine supercars.
