Johnny Mac Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 (edited) Considering this is a 30 year old kit, with care it builds into a lovely representation of an early MGB roadster. The stance needs lowering & the wire wheels look a little “toy” until panel washed & Matt lacquered, otherwise it’s fine. I added flocked carpet, photo etched wipers, bare metal foil, Beccs UK number plates & applied Iris blue paint. Pictured with Tamiya’s 1/24 Fiat 500, also a fine kit over 25 yrs old. Supplied with hood up or down. Edited March 26, 2023 by Johnny Mac Further image added 11
ve safari Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Very nice build mate, the colour suits it and looks period correct. 1
kenlwest Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Wow! Very Nice! I love the old MGs and Triumph roadsters. 1
Rattlecan Dan Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Love that Hard Shell Finish. Nice color and Build! 1
Ace-Garageguy Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Great looking model, very realistic. And whoever tooled the up-top and boot did a great job. The up-top, particularly the flush-looking fit of what would be soft plastic windows on the real one, is about the best I've ever seen. 1
Anglia105E Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Your build of this Aoshima MGB Roadster is really good John, and I like that Tamiya Fiat also . . . Well done with the paint finish on the MGB which looks just right in terms of colour and shiny surface. Your photography shows off both of these model cars to good effect, and it is always a good idea taking some Black&White photos as well, particularly for late 50's and early '60's motor cars. David 1
espo Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Beautiful looking paint finish and chrome trim. The Fiat 500 looks to have similar finishes as well. 1
Kenmojr Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Love these old MGBs as well as the MGA, MG-TC, MH-TF, etc. Cool model and car. 1
atomicholiday Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Great looking build. I used to run around with a guy who drove one of those in the mid 80's. So much fun! 1
jaymcminn Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Spotlessly clean build and great color choice. Can't wait to see the next one! 1
XYHARRY Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 Very clean builds John. It's hard to tell they're not 1:1 cars. Your paint finish is flawless. Well done. Cheers, David. ?? 1
Bainford Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 Beautiful B. Very nice work on this build, and the paint looks stellar. Love the colour. I built one of these a couple years ago, and in a similar colour, too. Nice little kit that goes together very well. I had to lower the ride height on mine as well. Lovely work on yours. 1
Spottedlaurel Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 Very nice, the detailing is excellent and it's good to see one other than red or BRG. I enjoyed building one a few years ago in Mineral Blue, as a replica of a 1:1 my stepdad had at the time. Foolishly I didn't lower the suspension.... 1
TooOld Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Beautiful work John , that's really nice ! Lowering the ride height makes a huge difference and the P.E. wipers are excellent ! 1

Justin Porter Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Very nice clean build of one of the best Little British Car kits on the market. 1
Zippi Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 That's a gem right there. Love that color. Nice job. 1
