JOHAN 1970 JAVELIN

New project,i've had sitting for at least a decade or more so i decided to rebuild it,going to repaint it Bittersweet Orange from Scalefinishes.The plan was to use Ray decals to,but he's a little behind,luckily i had a old Fred Cady sheet laying around .

I've made some progress over the last few weeks,dashboard is done,i couldn't get the BMF strip straight on the dash no matter how many times i tried,i also painted the engine using Scalefinishes AMC engine color.

Body has been painted and stripes added today,the stripes didn't quite fit so a little trimming was needed,hopefully clearcoats on the body tomorrow.

Looking good so far. The 70 Javelin was such a good looking car, in my opinion one of the best looking American cars built. I'll be watching this one come together.

Thanks for the positive words guy's!,okay small update interior is done ,i used P/E window cranks from a 69'Camaro on the interior,also flocked the interior and added seatbelts.

Looks rally good. Have you planned to replace the old torque tube gearbox with the correct one, e.g. 4-speed T-10, which has been in the Javelin. Such can be found in the AMT Matador NASCAR kit.

 I have the nascar matador in the stash,see if i can find it and replace the gearbox.?

I used the dash gauges from Best modelcarparts 68'firebird,they were as close as i could find.

Hello,back with some updates on my build,used wheels from a 68 Charger and tires from the recently released 66'Mustang GT.

Still need to do some more work on the engine,interior and body are together,masking and painting the front grille/bumper was not fun!!and i used licence plates from Best Model Car Parts.?
