Trying to do something different with a '49 Ford. Cut the roof off and chop 22 scale inches out of the wheelbase. Wanted to make it look like a Ford concept/show car so I stuck to pretty stock chrome work etc.

Very nicely done shortening of the body/chassis.  The Shoebox Fords are often overshadowed by the Fat-Fenders, but they can be built into some beautiful renditions. Really like this build.  Did you alter the rear wheel location, or is that the stock location after shortening the frame?

Thanks for the positive comments gentlemen.

Ricky I took the cut just behind the door. Forgot to mention I also took a couple of scale inches out of the body height.

Great looking body work. You know something was done but can't figure out what was it. Beautiful looking paint color and finish. Like the warmed up Flat Head. Should Ford have been thinking about a Thunderbird right after WWII this would be it.

Gorgeous build! Very subtle. As a matter of fact I was thinking that it should have been sectioned too until I saw that you had! Not over the top. Just right!

As a huge fan of 50s concept cars I really like this one a lot! What a great idea and execution!
