Zippi Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 I just placed my first order with Hobbylinc on Monday morning. It's showing that it will be shipped in 5 day. That seems like a long time to get an order together and ship it. Is this normal for Hobbylinc? Quote
TonyK Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 If I remember right from my past orders, that is normal. Quote
Exotics_Builder Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Yes. I have experienced that as well. Just had an order arrive the other day. They've always been good in fulfilling orders. Quote
R. Thorne Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Yes, it is sop with them. Another one of the reasons my favorite is Scalehobbyist. 1 Quote
iamsuperdan Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Yup. I ordered something last week and it just shipped yesterday. Exactly on time, as when I place the order it said it would ship on the 22nd. I've ordered from them before, never an issue. Always arrives when they say it will arrive and in good condition. Quote
Zippi Posted August 23, 2023 Author Posted August 23, 2023 Thanks fellows. May be my last order with them. Quote
redscampi Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Megahobby is an alternative I like. They ship free to lower 48 with purchase of $150 or more. I usually try to take advantage of this. Quote
slusher Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 There is Model roundup in Atlanta, sidetrack hobby in Iowa, and Burbank house of hobbies. I use all three.. Quote
Zippi Posted August 23, 2023 Author Posted August 23, 2023 Thanks for the info fellows. The reason I choose Hobbylinc is because they sell the Revell enamel paint for a cheap price. 1 Quote

They are very transparent about the shipping speed, so I guess it just depends what is more important, the best price, or getting it quickly. One place mentioned above has the highest prices on everything but ships immediately. It is all a tradeoff. Quote
Dave Van Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Good prices on all Tamiya....paints and kits...so I wait 3-4 days to ship....have it in a few more. Beats 3 hours drive to hobby shop @$3,50 a gallon in my F-150!!! 1 Quote
shoopdog Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 They also have a great rewards system along with their low prices. I never order anything I’m in a hurry for. 1 Quote

Dpate Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Yeah hobbylinc is legit. It does take a few days for them to start pulling stuff from the warehouse. I have an order coming in tomorrow from them as well. Scalehobbyist, Sprubrothers, megahobby, modelroundup, Burbank house of hobbies, hiroboy, plazajapan few places I shop from other than hobbylinc. martinfan5 Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 (edited) Because aware of their 4 day order processing time a few weeks when making a purchase from them on Ebay, wasnt till after I placed the order I noticed the time, ended up canceling the order , because of the timing of the when the order was placed, it was going to be closer to 6 days. The kit price and the shipping was very good , cheaper than the other sellers, kind of wish I wasnt impatient ....... Edited August 24, 2023 by martinfan5 Quote

Short time ago, I sent them an email asking if they had an idea of when they might be getting a product back in stock, not an important, I sent it at 10pm my time on the west coast, I got a reply like maybe 15 minutes later. Good prices on both product and shipping. Quote

Thanks man. I prefer to support my local hobby shop but this time around I wanted to try the revell enamel paint which they could only get buy the case. 5 hours ago, martinfan5 said: Because aware of their 4 day order processing time a few weeks when making a purchase from them on Ebay, wasnt till after I placed the order I noticed the time, ended up canceling the order , because of the timing of the when the order was placed, it was going to be closer to 6 days. I placed my order before they opened on the Monday (21st) then got an email telling me my order would be pulled from the shelf and shipped on Friday (25th). I guess they only have one person filling orders. 5 hours ago, martinfan5 said: Short time ago, I sent them an email asking if they had an idea of when they might be getting a product back in stock, not an important, I sent it at 10pm my time on the west coast, I got a reply like maybe 15 minutes later. Miatatom Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 I've found that if you order on Friday, it'll usually ship on Monday. Usually. Their prices are good so I just deal with the shipping. 1 Quote
