Keef Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 This an absolute masterpiece!! The details just keep jumping out at me the more I look at it! I can’t wait to see what you build next!!
papajohn97 Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 (edited) Really enjoyed following your excellent WIP on this build Steve, a real master-class in the fine scale model building. Thank you for all the efforts you put into and details you shared in your WIP postings. My favorite parts of this beautiful Pontiac are the incredibly realistic engine bay and the weathered undercarriage. I’d love to see what you could do building a weathered WWII warbird, AFV or ship model kit, I’m sure you’d win awards in whatever genres you were to build. Bravo! Ulbo Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 Oh man! Wow! It is perfect detailed build with great paintjob, engine bay and dashboard details and the stance is very realistic. Stunning Job?
Greg_W124 Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 It is hard to tell whether it's a model, or you invented a stuff that makes cars shrink. Awesome!
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 Just as I remember when the new 64 Pontiac's came out in the fall of 63. We had a new 64. Perfect model car!
catpack68 Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 Stunning work Steve! The level of detail and weathering is incredible.Looking forward to seeing your next build?
iamsuperdan Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 From what you started with to where you finished. Just...wow.
NOBLNG Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 The only thing more realistic is the real thing. Awesome job Steven…and thanks very much for the detailed build thread.?

Kah puts Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Unbelievable on eBay right now there’s a 64 Bonneville convertible in the same colour, it’s just as gorgeous as yours ?

Above all, I would like to thank the academy............Sorry, I couldn't resist! Sincerely, I appreciate all of the help and encouragement! Steve
Wolf Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 I absolutely agree with all the comments posted above. I also love your photography which highlights perfectly just how beautiful your build is. Definitely something to aspire to. Cheers, Wolf
Ulf Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Absolutely fantastic, it has been great fun and interesting to follow your project. You are very generous with tips and tricks, thank you!
XYHARRY Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 When I first looked at this model I thought it was a 1:1. I've seen other highly detailed models that look real but still looked like a scale model. I couldn't put my finger on it until I saw the undercarriage photo. By levelling the bottom part of the tyres you have created the illusion of weight. Well done Steve and thanks for sharing. Cheers, David. ??
Bills72sj Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Thank you for taking us along on the journey. I have been amazed at most every step of the way. I have attempted some your techniques in my present WIPs. Thank you for the inspiration.
