I got one side finished on the rear fenders and I think it came out pretty good.  I'll complete the other side but wait on the front fenders as I'm still doing body work on the cab.

That looks good. Just what I had in mind. You can also run a flat file or sanding stick over the top of the strips either before or once they are in place if you want to take down a bit of the roundness and make them just a bit more flat.

That Sky and Gun Metal combo will look great!

That fender trim work looks great.

Thanks Kyle.  I'll have to leave the rear fenders off when painting so I can foil the trim but the front trim will be tricky.

Great work Bob! The trim pieces you added look spot on. That colour combo appears to be a perfect match to the photos, and will be a great looking combo.
Cheers, Steve

I appreciate it Steve.  Yeah, the colors look pretty close.

If memory serves me right, the reason the kit was engineered with the lower cab corners to be separate is to allow the interior tub placement. I worked my way around this problem once. I'd be interested to know what you find.

I hear ya man.  The interior tub will fit fine with the rear cab extenion installed.  Just have to glue the firewall in after the interior tub is installed.

The fender chrome looks good Bob, you should not have any trouble getting it to lay down.  I have used Photo etch

before but never the chrome head light covers. I used super glue and a guy I know used 5 minute APoxy. Good luck

Bob.

I've got the suspension tack glued, box is tack glued together as well, and the wheel wells have been hogged out to except the wider wheels & tires.  The rear wheels look a little tight but I have no more room so I may have to mini tub it.  I've already started working on some pill bottles to use as tubs in the box just in case.

Well, ran into an issue this morning while doing a mock-up.  This is as far as the 22" wheels & tires are going to go up inside the fenders.  It's not as low as I was hoping for but I think it'll work.

I think the ride height is perfect. I think that without  running boards makes it seem higher than it is. When you look at the bottom of the fenders they are at a reasonable height.

I think your right Bob.  I think I'll just run with it.

Rather than mini-tubbing it maybe widen the fenders slightly by adding material to the back. It looks like you're close to having enough space. I may have an extra set of fenders if you want to use a set to widen them?

Thanks man.  If I do need to widen the fenders for more room I can just widen the ones that I have but I do appreciate the idea and the offer.

I agree, the stance looks perfect.

Thanks David.  I'm satisfied with the stance as well.

I think I have the rear suspension where it looks good so I started working on the front.  I had to cut the drop axle in have to remove about 1/8" to get the wheels & tires to fit plus I added a support rod to help strengthen the axle.  Waiting for everything to cure so I can do another mock-up to see what I have.
