The Junkman Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 I'm stoked that they appear to be re-releasing the 300 SLR "Uhlenhaut Coupé". I guess any car that crossed the auction floor at $143 million appears to be a proper subject for a model.

I don't know why it still shows then that way. I did separate them out as two different tooling families.

Oddly, they are releasing it as a “gift set,” with small pots of paint, glue and a brush. Now, that might be more profitable because they can boost the price by way more than those things cost them. But I’ve built the Uhlenhaut Coupe, and it is not a beginners build by any stretch. Anyone who has the skill and experience to build it successfully will have all the paint and glue they need… best, M.

I'm thinking this kit with a widebody flare set and modern engine might be a cool project. 3

oldcarfan Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 I wouldn't say no to this kit if they have the molds! I also wonder if they have the Monroe Handler Mustang II street racer? 2
rattle can man Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 As a diehard anti-Chevy person, I would buy that Monza. And hope someone would make a conversion to a Buick or Pontiac version. 1
Fabrux Posted November 14, 2024 Posted November 14, 2024 Revell did that for you: They both share the chassis with the Monroe Handler Mustang, which is incorrect for any of them... ?

Yeah, I know about the Chassis Issues. I still want all three kits. The Spyder is my favorite, with the Pontiac #2, and the Mustang last. I hope Revell or Atlantis still has the tooling for these. They were simple, fun kits to build. 1

This reissue has been on me list since I noticed its announcement on Model Roundup - may as well pull the trigger this time (missed out on the c.2013 Foose edition). This kit presents nicely. I built a copy upon its initial release (late 1987 / early 1988) and was impressed with its presentation (painted German Silver Metallic, with Testors Flat Red interior). 1
Jordan White Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 Good to see they at least brought back the Goodyear Eagle GT tires in this issue, and that they have white-letter tire decals included! The expanded decal sheet is nice (I know this is the ROG version, so I'm hoping the US release has all of them besides the plates as well). However, I wonder why they didn't include black rally stripes?
250 Testa Rossa Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 When are we going to get a full detail '63 Corvette from Revell?

However, I wonder why they didn't include black rally stripes? Huge understatement regarding the Eagle ST tires. Despite being "only" 14" diameter, they work well with this kit, and also the 1/12 '57 Bel Air and '67 Corvette 427. That decal sheet is already very full, so they probably had to decide between white or black skunk stripes, while still including the upholstery decals, but remember, that is the European version. The U.S. version includes this decal sheet: Screenshot from HPIGuy's YT review, here: Gen X-ers will appreciate(?) the homage to one of Monogram's most ill-proportioned kits. 😂 1
oldcarfan Posted January 14 Posted January 14 There is a niche to be filled since Testor's is abandoning the market. I'd love to see Revell step in and introduce a line of proper auto colors and gloss coats in spray and bottles in a plastic friendly lacquer or acrylic. 2

gtx6970 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Anyone know the new tooled parts are in the Ford Longroof ?
pjacobs Posted January 28 Posted January 28 I didn't see anything in this thread about Revell rereleasing the 1985 Pontiac Fiero kit, but my April issue of Collectible Automobile has it mentioned with a picture of one as a 2025 release.

I’m sure some prefer the notchback style Fiero, but I would like to see the ‘88 “fastback” style return!
niteowl7710 Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 Straight reissues in 2025 include '66 Mustang Racing Version '64 GTO '85 Pontiac Fiero '68 Corvette Roadster The first three out of those four being of Monogram origins
