Flatout Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 (edited) Going for a Classic vibe while still being a Hot Rod. Mostly built box stock with a few mods and a few extra parts…. Wheels are from the Revell 32 Ford Sedan and have been modified and painted withTamiya Racing White, LP-39. The headlight bar was moved back 2 scale inches and headlights are the “big” lights from the Revell 29 Ford Roadster kit. The rear tires are Mickey Thompson N50s from Fireball Modelworks. Also, the front end has been lowered. The fenders were painted with Tamiya TS-14 Black and the Body was painted with Tamiya TS-51 Racing Blue then shot with Mr. Hobby’s Mr Super Clear Gloss. SpikeSchumacher Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 That's beautiful Pete! Simple, classy, and elegant ? 1
NOBLNG Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 Nice build!? A sweet looking little street rod that I would be proud to drive!? 1
espo Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 Beautiful looking little '32. The colors look great and like the black fenders. Listing the headlight information is reminiscent of what was done in the past on 1:1 '32's. Great looking wheel and tire combination, and really like the stance. 1
Zippi Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 Really nice 32 Ford. The two tone looks the part. One good looking Hot Rod. 1
happy grumpy Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 What a cool and nice little rod and beautifully photographed. Great job sir. 1
karbuildr Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 Gorgeous 32, great color, beautiful wheels and tires, excellent detailing all over. 1
Can-Con Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 Just super ! The wheels look great. Did you thin down the spokes somehow? 1

I did a few things to the wheels, I modified the wheel halves to get the front and back spokes closer together where they meet the rim, then I opened up the areas where the spokes cross, modified the centers to accept an AMT 32 Ford hub cap, and widened the back wheels. I’ve got 4/5 hours in the wheels alone but think it was worth it? 1

I’ve got 4/5 hours in the wheels alone but think it was worth it? They do look great. I tried getting the ones I used on my '29 pickup last year to look better with those same caps and changing the outer face of the rims but I didn't even think of getting them closer together or opening up the closed off areas. Better but not as good as yours look by far. 1
Yeah Nah Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 I think you pulled off the intended classic vibe and then some Bill. Looks fantastic. 1
Rattlecan Dan Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Very nice. Great little Hot Rod. Nice little conservative look, yet still street mean enough. 1
XYHARRY Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 I recently added this kit to my stash and also plan to build it full fendered. Yours looks great in that colour combo. Stance and wheels finish it off nicely. Well done Pete. Cheers, David. ?? 1

Dan Hay Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 I really like this little coupe. The two-tone, combined with the wires and stance really nail the look you were going for. I've had a build of this era in my mind for a while and this gets me excited to build it. Nice build! 1
Jim Whalen Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Nice build! I like what you've done with the wheels. It is great to see that builders can still come up with unique twists when building models of '32 Fords. 1
Chuckyg1 Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Very nice. You don't see many with full fenders. 1
