AMT 36 Ford Roadster Stock

Yeah Nah

Recommended Posts

Did this a while back and after a bit of a spruce up showing it here along with the newly finished drag version over in the appropriate Under Glass thread. A box art build using rattle can enamels with airbrushed acrylics for the interior.

I love this old Trophy kit and have a third one that will be definitely be getting the top chop custom treatment!

Thanks for looking.

Very nice build.  Some of the most realistic spark plug wiring I’ve ever seen.  How did you do the plug wire boot ends?

Thanks Andrew. The wire itself is the usual aftermarket stuff. The boot ends are short lengths of insulation (that just happens to fit over perfectly) stripped from suitable size wire- in this case the cable from old landline telephones which has multiple strands of assorted colours.

Thanks Gary, good tip on the boot ends!

You know, I honestly think we often forget how pretty these cars were because we’ve become so accustomed to seeing them all hacked up.

I’m sorry, but it’s just my opinion that it’s very difficult, if not impossible, to improve upon the looks of many of these vintage cars.
