NitroMarty Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 (edited) Finally, after a roughly 2 1/2 year dry spell, something new off the bench here at Marty's Speed and Machine (A subsidiary of WTH Motorsports).... I put the finishing touches on the '50 Chevy shop truck.... A curbside build, using a bunch of bit and pieces that I have been gathering for many years..... Chassis, box, bumpers and grille from the AMT snap kit. The Chopped "3-window" cab is a Jimmy Flintstone resin piece, while the bed cover is, I believe, from an original issue Monogram '40 Ford pickup... I modified the driver's side rear fender to accept the covered spare tire, also from the Monogram '40 p.u. kit.... Not certain where the wheels and tires originated, though I suspect a Jada diecast. Paint is Testors One Coat Inca Gold, topped with Dupli-Color 1K clear Edited December 7, 2023 by NitroMarty 9
Street Rod Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 Sharp truck! The color fits the styling perfectly.
TarheelRick Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 Really sharp looking "shop" truck. I like the steelies and wide whites.

TransAmMike Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 Yep, cool '50 in a flashy color. Great job Marty!!
Tom Geiger Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 Very nice in one of my favorite colors! Haven't seen you in awhile! Good to see you are back to the bench!
TonyK Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 Sharp! I'm thinking of a reverse idea here. Someone should look at this model and make a real truck of it. ?
espo Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Beautiful looking paint finish and color. The chopped top looks good. Like the added side spare mount.
Bainford Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 Kool! Nice looking shop truck. Really digging the black steelies. Quote
