Yesterday I got the body cleaned up and back in primer.  Today I shot the Tamiya Silver Leaf on.  All is looking well considering this was a fail the first time around.  This time I'm "NOT" going to wet sand the Silver Leaf.

Oh yeah Buddy, that is a great looking silver...kind of a shame to cover it up with the blue but the blue is pretty too.

Thanks Buddy.  I really liked how the blue had that candy effect to it.  Blue ismy favorite color so I had to try it again.

Good luck on the respray, the candy blue really looked great on it. If not, primer gray and steal a Hemi out of a matador cop car?

Thanks.  I really like the candy color blue so I'm going to be extra careful this time around. Yeah, that would look pretty kewl.

Well...the second paint job with the same Silver Leaf and Clear Blue came out much better this time around. I'll let this set for a couple days then wet sand and polish.

Yes sir!! That looks fantastic Bob. It’s a shame you had to strip the first paint job, but the extra effort has paid off, and that blue is stunning. Very nice.

I got some of the chassis assembled this morning and got the mufflers painted.  I was going to shoot the clear on the body today but it rained all night and the weather just isn't right.

looking good! Too bad you had to paint it twice. Second time is always better in most cases and that's what you got here. Clean looking build so far!
