CabDriver
That’s really nice work - realistic weathering, and some really nice additional details! What do you like for your plug boots? Syringe tubing? Cant wait to see the rest - enjoy seeing your work!

I don’t find syringe very useful since they are impossible to cut I use micro aluminum tubing easily sliced with a knife , 0.8mm for plug boots. 0.5mm for fuel lines 1

ubermodel
I gotta say, usually I'm not one for weathered engines, but those dirty chrome valve covers look exactly like they should after years of oil, grease, fingerprints, dust, and dirt on them. Nice work.
JET.
Wires added, you can probably guess what color the car will be now lol, oh and I had to remake the fuel line cause not only did I break it off, it also interfered with the alternator haha

JET.
Paint on the ‘69 nova, I used a purple flake, then 4 coats of candy pink, then pearl clear over everything. Then 5 coats of Mr.color gloss lacquer. Just gotta wet sand and polish it out still . Let it sit for the rest of the month to cure My Movie 41.mov
Codi
That's fantastic JT. The color is gorgeous and you lay down some great paint. Oh, and that engine ain't too shabby either. I'll be sure to follow along. cheers, tim

Mike Slapattack
Beautiful work! I love how the black wash accent brings out all the detail and adds shadows and depth. Did you only apply it before painting the color or did you also apply it after? Also what kind of wash did you use?
CabDriver
That hood has one of the best lacquer clear-coat jobs I’ve seen in a while…nice work!!
JET.
Started adding the bare metal foil trim. I decided to add the chrome trim on the sides, not to many Nova’s had that I think it looks cool
espo
Beautiful looking paint color and finish. The chrome window moldings you mention were an extra cost trim option on the Nova, I had them on my '72 Nova SS.
CabDriver Posted yesterday at 02:50 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:50 AM Stunning! You’ve got a real skill when it comes to paint (I spotted that 30 Coupe on your IG too…that one’s equally great!!)
