Hi!

I'm partial to the 1966 to 1972 Detroit designs, because that's when cars stopped to be "boxy" and squarish, and fell under the influence of Bill Mitchell (GM), Eugene Bordinat (Ford) and Dick Teague (AMC), and in a lesser way Elwood Engel at Chrysler. . Just thing about the outpouring of spectacular designs in those 7 years, just before the 5mph bumpers ruined everything. Oh well...

So: an MPC Nascar Mercury Cyclone body, with blown modular engine from a Revell Mach 3 concept glue bomb, rolling stock & bucket seats from Dodge Sidewinder concept, and front & rear suspensions from Foose FD100, Dash from 20?? Mustang, all modified. Scratchbuilt floorpan, radiator panel, hood hinge & scoop, firewall, rear bulkhead & shelf, tunnel, door panels, console, pedals, roll-bar, gas tank and a few more items.

Custom purple nail polish finish cleared with Mr. Hobby Top coat, Tamya's Gunmetal on chassis,  Craftsmart Fog grey interior, BMF, Molotow & Revell spray chrome accents. Fully wired & hosed.

Hours of fun with styrene!

Beautiful looking body lines and the paint is very smooth. Like how you blended the parts of a NASCAR body and the engine and interior from other kits all together. Great looking suspension details.

I can only think of one word to describe your build: Stunning. Beautiful color, the wheels and tires are perfect for that smooth body, gorgeous engine, underside details are superb.

Thank you David!

Indeed, I have countless left-over parts from previous mash-ups. Gotta use the leftovers!

An amazing build, Claude, but it's hard to look past that stunning paint job!   Those Torinos have a strong family resemblance to our XA Falcon Hardtops from 1972 so if we get one of these in styrene eventually, I could see using this as a blueprint!

Cheers

Alan
