damodelguy phx az Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 well i finally finished a build thats been close for a while, but kept sitting new ideas in front of it. finished my 53 studacuda fastback last night 10/9/24 i actually built it using the 53 studebaker kit as donor. i did have the parts from the built parts cuda, so i used the windows and motor from it. thanx for looking, glen damodelguy 7
rickcaps55 Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 I like it.! that roof looks like it belongs to that body. The 53 Studebaker was always one of my favorite cars i always said it was years ahead of its time.
espo Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Like how the roof flows naturally onto the rear trunk lid. The roof lines don't fight the body lines of the Studebaker.
ea0863 Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 I love frankensteined builds, but every once in a while you run across one where you're thinking, "this should absolutely have been built as a full sized car". And your Studacuda totally fits that bill - what a stunner!
NOBLNG Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Beautiful work Glen!? It looks like a factory job.?
karbuildr Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 That is so cool. Great looking custom, excellent color choice, nicely detailed.
LennyB Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Very nice, I like the way the c-pillar matches the side sculpture on the body.
Danno Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 EXQUISITE, Glen!!! Hit it right out of the park! Great concept. And you know how I likes me Studes!
bogger44 Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Very kewl! That roof looks pretty dang good on the Stude.

Rattlecan Dan Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 Very nice and uniquely done. Sure has that could have been look to it. Nice job!
ewetwo Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 Nice. I like the way the window opening mirrors the sculpting on the side of the body.
STU111 Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 Awesome job. That roof and body look like they were meant to be.??
