TarheelRick Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Needs to give me that car and have the current owner hung by the thumbs. Don't know if a stint in the freezer would pop all that 'customization' loose. My only comment is "Why?". 1
Falcon Ranchero Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 I was aware of the chrome mobile existence; this past year looking at cars for sale you sometimes come across rental cars for weddings and what not and there was a 1964 Galaxie four door with the full AMT custom pieces treatment
Hi-Po Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 As the old saying goes, some people will do anything to get attention. That is just plain ugly! 1
jaymcminn Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 A couple of enjoyable hours with a heat gun and a wrench would make a world of difference to that car. I'm mostly concerned about the rear fender skirts without 100% knowing how they're attached.

espo Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 The owner ran out of monie before he could get something to hang of the rear-view mirror. Anyone else remember shrunken heads or fuzzy dice? 2
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Something seriously wrong with the fit of the front sheetmetal too.
Robberbaron Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Not to mention the paint mismatch on the front clip. The rusty split exhaust tips are the icing on the cake. 3
1972coronet Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 I call "deep fake" / "cheap fake" ! Hahaha ! The hood emblem looks like it's one of those fugly A.I. generated things that've been making the rounds here. I wonder if the seller will trade for tattoo work or reptile cages ? 2

Brian Austin Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Nothing wrong with making a car your own. It stands out from the rest.
DJMar Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 BHCC posts some interesting cars for sale at times.

Ever hear of an increasingly obscure concept called "taste"? Then there's the horrible fit of the wonky front sheetmetal and the paint mismatch...but hey, it's covered in garish stick-on stuff, so don't pay attention to the incompetent workmanship. And "stands out from the rest" isn't always...well, let's just say "an aesthetic improvement". Edited October 27, 2024 by Ace-Garageguy 2 2

Anyone else remember shrunken heads or fuzzy dice? Yup. Remember 'em, but never bought 'em. How 'bout the wobbling kitty heads / demon skulls / whatever with the eyes that lit up when you stepped on the brakes? Pure class. Yeah, all the chicks sure went for that guy. 1
NOBLNG Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Well at least no one is going to steal it out of your driveway.? 3

Mark Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 A few of the bucks spent on all of the add-ons might have been better spent on a set of rear springs. Right now it's got long rear shackles and those clamp-on helper springs, and it ain't much higher than stock in back. Besides the paint mismatch, I'd be taking a long look at how those skirts are attached. I'm seeing what look like exposed fasteners, and that ain't good. 1
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 FeePay has been supplying "help" for ad copy-writing recently. Whether it's "AI enhanced", or just a magically stupid fill-in-the-blanks generic template I don't know, but a large number of feePay items have very similar descriptions now...whether they be cars, clothing, tools, models, parts, whatever. Can you say P A T H E T I C boys and girls? "Introducing this fourth-generation 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 that is finished in Vintage Burgundy with a Wimbledon White roof. espo Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 The more times I see the picture of this car the more I think someone is pulling our chain so to speak.
