Hi Dave.

I'd like to change the email address attached to this account but I believe that address may be associated with an old account. Am I able to change the email address and keep this account.

Also, is it possible to change the user name without starting a new account?

Thanks.

Send me a PM with the particulars.

I followed directions, logged in w/email, changed my password, easy-peasy and everything works smoothly on both my laptop and phone.

I tried to change email address that I used but unfortunately forgot my password. I'll probably just set up a new profile and use it with the new login procedure.

Can't you use "forgot password" procedure, or your current email address is no longer valid?

Still, admins here do not like users to have multiple logins. If you PM one of the admins (like Dave Ambrose) he should be able to help you taking care of this problem.

Signed in with my email and my current password and it worked fine. Thanks to the background guys for all the time and work here.

Are we going to be automatically logged out? I never log out. Do I have to do anything?

Mark I just had to reset my password because I forgot it.  If you are logged in by your email you will just have to log in after the reset. If you use your username you will have to change to your email. Make sure that your email is up to date on this site before you log out.  I did use the forgot my password when trying to log in. Because I am always logged in I never remember it.

I have to log in on my phone almost every time I look at the forum even tho I check off to stay logged in. Is it my phone or something to do with the forum login?

This is likely your phone. The site uses cookies (the web kind) to keep you logged in. If those aren't enabled, then you have to keep logging in. You can also get this behavior if you're running a high privacy browser (or browser settings).

I haven't done anything yet so maybe I'm good to go. My email address has never changed. I never log out.

If it says "your profile is 100% complete" I should be good, right?

I've changed my password, logged out and back in but my profile only shoes 50% complete what am I missing?

Mine is like that too (and has been for years). I wouldn't worry about it.  They probably want things like your X, Fecesbook account, and other similar type of info for a complete profile. Unnecessary.
