maysula Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Hi. This is the Italeri Alfa-Romeo 2300 Monza kit with Fernando Pintos transkit for this LeMans racer. The transkit is with resin bodyparts and nice spoked wheels, also a Tazio Nuvolari figure. I had some fitproblems with the resinparts so I spent a lot of time with that. Detailed with bolts , hoses, rivets , and such things mostly around the engine. Some scratched parts too. Thomas 11
Pierre Rivard Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Absolutely formidable replica of this iconic race car, with one of the all time greats behind the wheel. Your attention to details and finesse of execution are second to none. I built this exact car the 1/24 scale (Fernando's kit), thought it was very good but really looks very ordinary next to your's. Congratulations Thomas, your builds are always the pinnacle of scale modeling.
Matt Bacon Posted February 13 Posted February 13 That looks awesome -- really very well done. I was wondering how to get one in 1/24, but @Pierre Rivard has given the answer, for which my wallet (and my wife) may not thank him. And for obvious reasons, I'm always happy to see figures, especially Tazio: he looks great. Great stuff, and thanks for sharing so comprehensively. best, M.
Codi Posted February 13 Posted February 13 What a great build Thomas. Truly outstanding and I'm VERY impressed with your weathering skills as well. cheers, tim
89AKurt Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Man... that's a model? Love the weathering on top of everything else.
Rich Chernosky Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Another home run for you Thomas. Your modeling skills and attention to detail set the bar for the rest of us. Always a pleasure to see your work.
Rattlecan Dan Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Outstanding! Excellent detailing and weathering. A benchmark for all.
Belugawrx Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Well done Thomas ! All of your attention to detail really shines here.
ybsluos Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Thomas this is museum quality for sure! Nice job man. -Mark
jaymcminn Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Ironic that such a dirty model should be such a clean build. Absolutely fantastic.
Bugatti Fan Posted February 17 Posted February 17 (edited) Competent conversion. Looks really good. Will have to have another look at the FP Modelos website. Didn't know he did 1/12th scale transkits as well as his 1/24th scale kits. Well I'm confused. I looked on the FPP Website and could not find this trans kit being shown on it It obviously exists as Thomas shows the box for it in his original post and has done the kit conversion. So how did Thomas find out about the trans kit originally? Edited February 17 by Bugatti Fan

I had contacted Fernando that it´s difficult to find
