Curt Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I have wanted to build a Cosworth Vega for a long time, but the correct wheels and Cosworth engine were not readily available. That is, until they were expertly 3D printed and offered by Wylde Parnelle. The kit was built largely out of the box, with the notable additions of Wylde's wheels and engine. I also used resin outside mirrors from Scale Equipment Ltd. Because the Cosworth and Vega GT dashboards are different from the standard Vega dash, I designed and 3D printed a correct part. I also used more realistic headlights by Japanese maker Barchetta and decals from Fred Cady. 17
Bainford Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Great conversion. It's not every day you see a Cosworth Vega, and such a good looking one at that. Love the little twin-cam. Very nice work. 2
Jim B Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Very nice looking Vega. Well done. Not only is it rare that you see a Cosworth Vega, it seems that it's rare to see a stock Vega. Usually I see Vegas as drag cars, but I think this is the first non-drag Vega I've ever seen. 1
Bucky Posted April 25 Posted April 25 A beautiful Cosworth! Top notch work! I drove a Vega from Nashville to New Orleans and back in 1981. Sadly, it wasn't a Cosworth. That would have been much more fun! 1
ncbuckeye67 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Nicely done! That is one I would definitely love to build. 1
Brudda Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Very very nice. As a kid I was able to walk by the Chevy showroom . The cos Vega was in the showroom. Loved that car. Good build of a really fun and cool car. 1
ea0863 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 What a fantastic build! I am totally jealous of your 3D printing skills 1
espo Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Great looking Cosworth Vega. Like the paint and trim. Sham these were so expensive when new as it hurt their sales. 1
Zippi Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Nice looking build. I see a 1:1 at the car shows every now and then. 1
Phildaupho Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Great to see. Very well done. I don't think I have ever seen a full scale Cosworth Vega but always thought they were a significant car. 1
