You know, at my age (62) I am the exact target market for Vintage Packaging.

But, I could care less. Vintage Boxart is not a Sales Point for me.

Vintage Plastic, New Decals, New Tires? Bring them on. That's what I want. I am glad that Vintage Boxart seems to "move the metal", but I wish they would not make it such a big deal.

Guys , you've been doing this since 2008. We all know what your plan is. We like it, but Man, tone it down sometimes, eh?

I can see the long  nose mustang .

Maybe the mpc 66 Charger  doing well

The Nascar Cyclone IMO would do so much better if it were able to build stock

Yes, I would love a stock Cyclone for the collection.

I will be in for a few of the Longnose Mustangs just for the chassis. I have a couple late 60's AMT Funny car bodies in need of a chassis and it should be straightforward to shorten the Longnose chassis.

I get that re-releasing old kits is their entire business strategy, but I wish they would spend as much time cleaning up the molds and fixing the contents as they do on recreating the vintage box art.

I've never built the Racer's Wedge kit, but didn't they just repop it a few years ago, along with the Coca-Cola Fleetside kit?

Also, I don't need the Beretta, but I want the Beretta, undersized wheels or not.

I would love to see a stock Cyclone as well, but at this point in the game, I no longer associate it with a reissue of the NASCAR version.  When the tool for the stock kit was modified over 50 years (yep, half a century) ago, enough was changed on the body and grille, etc., that IMHO it wouldn’t be worth attempting to modify it back to stock, with the resultant shortcomings that have plagued other kits that have seen a similar fate.

I would not have any way of knowing whether the original interior tool exists, but my preference at this point would be a cloning/remastering/improvement situation as we have seen with other kits in recent years.  That is, if global trade hasn’t already been broken enough to cut into budgets and make kits like these less viable.

And yes, I will get a NASCAR version to go with the three or four other previous releases that I already have…. 🙄

I would rather see Revell use what they already have with their excellent Torino to bring out a Cyclone than for Round2 to bring back the MPC annual, but I am losing hope that either scenario will happen.

Never built the Cyclone, but I do want, and intend to get. What donor kit(s) would be the best for creating something close to this factory gem?

I have to think that the Cyclone is at or near the top of Round 2's list of tools to clone. Every time the NASCAR version comes up, many cries of "we need the stock version back" (wholly justified, IMHO) are heard. :) Sign me up for one!

Strongly agree....in fact a factory stock '70 Cyclone based on the Torino/Cobra tool was proposed a number of times to the Revell-Monogram team in the past.  Since the company was sold to German interests, I really no longer have a connection there so I have no idea whether this idea is still on their list of possible projects, but my guess would be no.  TB

Really like this Spoiler but I've never seen that hood scoop on one.

The car is not stock, it has Boss 429 engine and a hi rise intake, the scoop (appears to be 69 or 70 Mustang scoop) was required as the air cleaner sticks thru the hood.

Here's the ad for the pictured car.

My brother had 70 Cyclone Spoiler 429 SCJ and spent many hours helping him restore it.

The `1970 Cyclone was originally planned to include the Boss429 as an option.  IIRC, the brochure noted that the hood on that version would have a secondary bump, IIRC, approximately above where the power brake booster would be.  While the MPC annual kit only included the Boss 429 as the engine, it did not include that secondary hood bump.  Yeah, I admit, useless trivia....:)  TB
