Scott and Drew, my Mom was a stripper also, and yes I got a kick out of telling everyone at school. It also didn't hurt that at the time all of my male school friends thought she was hot.

For the last thirteen years I've worked at my local natural gas utility company, eleven of which have been working with the high pressure transmission system that feeds the regulator stations that gets gas to homes and businesses. I work with outside contractors who need to cross my companies lines by locating the lines for them and getting them approval from my company for their crossing. I also assist them onsite while they are working to make sure they don't damage our facilities. I also manage our bushhog contractor during mowing season. I have taught our in house pipeline locating class for employees who will be marking our lines for outside construction projects and I teach a driving class for all employees who drive a company vehicle. All in all not bad for a high school drop out.

Actually.... I drive the Maxima or the GTI to work during the week. On the Saturdays I work I take the Barracuda as traffic is off-the-charts insane on weekdays.Today is Saturday & I have to work. Time to wake up the neighbors!

I have always worked in machine shops ... My grandfather owned a very large manufacturing company in South Bend Indiana ... Made stamping dies and production fixtures for Studebaker .... In the 80's I got to work there until I finished up high school ... Then went to Michigan State Univ. graduated with BA in business .... Decided office work was not for me so I went thru a mold makers and a gage makers apprenticeship ... Worked as a journeyman mold maker until automotive companies sent a lot of it over seas .... Back to school for an engineering design degree ... Again no jobs in my area ... Went to work as an inspector of precision aircraft fuel system componants .... That was 5 years ago ... Just last week I was put in charge of manufacturing for the whole company ...

Sure did take a long time to get to this point but I think everything was well worth it ... Plus I get to build models every day ... It truly is great

I've been in cable TV for 33 years now. Started as an installer, moved up to maintenance (bucket truck), then to headend. Now I'm the construction coordinator building outside plant in our systems in central Vermont. When I started cable was 10 channels of off-air TV for $5.75 a month! Things have changed some.

I recently began working for Kellermeyer Building Systems, Meijer, Michaels, and other retail stores use them to keep their buildings clean. I work out of the Meijer store in Dewitt Michigan, midnight to 7:30 five nights a week.

Before that, I did five years hard time at Advance Auto Parts, mostly dealing with commercial customers (ie- dealerships and repair shops), and I was responsible for keeping tabs on overstock items.

I have a brother in law that is a manager (in the grocery dept I think) in the Jackson, MI meijer. Where is Dewitt?

I did my 14 1/2 years of time in the Army Reserves,Combat engineer combat heavy equipment.We built roads and airstrips,almost any thing with bulldozers and heavy construction equipment.At the same time I worked for a construction company.I was the groundman at one of their asphalt plants for about 5 years.

I now work for Utility Trailer MFG.We build refridgerated semi trailers.Been with them since '98.I'm classified as a material handler now.(tow-motor driver)It will freeze you to death in the winter and burn you up in the summer though.I can still pick up a dime off the floor with my forklift too.Every bit of this has been nightshift also.3:30pm till 2:00 am.Three day weekends rule.

On the side I'm a yard care technician. I've got 5 yards that I mow on weekends for extra spending money,plus it gets me out of the house for a few hours.

Now the people at Social Security are telling me that my retirement age is 67 now.Don't know what the next 25 years might bring.

Ya'll think of me when you see a Utility Trailer on interstate,ours have the 3 D.O.T. lights offset to the left above the rear doors. Later bigtim.

I completed 20 years service with the Australian Army

I now work for a major oil company as a Lubricant Service Technician for mining companys we supply, lot's of travel all over Australia to remote mine sites in the outback, inspecting both mobile and fixed plant equipment

I working in printing for my day job and run a paper cutter and when need a folder and multibinder, After work and on the weekend i fix cars and do roofing,stuco and concrete work with my buddy for extra cash.

I'm a sanitation specialist at Merchants Foodservice. I usually clean the wharehouse to a point that it's considered "cleanroom"

quality. In the food industry, we have some of the most anal inspections to maintain food quality. so I have to make sure that when they do the inspection, there isn't so much as a speck of dirt on the floor. Been working there for two years, now.

Now retired I spent 30 years in the nuclear industry as an operator. The last 20 licenced as a control room operator by the CNSC (Canadian equivelent on the NRC).

I also spent 37 years as a volunteer fireman. Retired from that as a chief.

Career-wise, I split my time between B&Ws and the Red/Wet stuff. Ten years cop (dispatch, patrol, and detective), 22 years firefighter, 34 years fire/arson investigator. Simultaneous, not consecutive. I'm NOT THAT old!

I was a volunteer firefighter (Certified FFII & Instructor) with a couple of busy departments while I copped for pay. The two hats evolved into one as I became an Origin and Cause investigator (Certified, National Fire Academy, Court Qualified Expert). After retiring as a firefighter and moving to AZ I still played with the big red rigs ... I volunteered at the National Hall of Flame for 7 years ... polishing red and brass, restoring and caring for and driving the vintage rigs. Highlight of that was when Rescue 51 came to live with us for a year.

Before all of that, I was a top-40 rock-n-roll DJ and before that I had a newspaper route (junior high & high school), grilled MickeyD's when they were 15cents (18cents for a cheeseburger), and bagged groceries until I became a world-famous (okay, not) DJ.

Been a fun life. Too bad it didn't involve copious quantities of cash, too.
