Had several of these in various states of gloobombery, and a couple nice ones, but when this little cherry came up surprisingly cheap, I let it follow me home...

The local Ollie's had some new kits out, picked up a few. The '32 came from Michaels with a 30% off coupon, their selection is poor but it's next door to the grocery store so it makes it easy if I want one of the 4 kits they carry!

I agree with you about Micheal’s.  They don’t have much, but once in a while they’ll have 30-40% off coupons.  Makes it worth checking out.  Plus, you can use the coupons on anything in store.  I stocked up on paint once.

Went to a model show yesterday, I realized that pretty much any kits that vendors had that I would be interested in I already have.  I didn't have these, though...both unbuilt and complete.

In recent months, I've started to get into dealer promotional models and my latest one came in the mail yesterday from E Bay which is a blue 1967 AMC Ambassador 2dr. I also have the following.

1) A yellow 1968 Chrysler Imperial 2dr.

2) A red 1974 AMC Hornet 2dr hatchback.

3) A yellow 1965 Rambler Classic 4dr.

4) A beige 1976 Chevy Caprice 2dr.

I'll be getting more over time.

This '59 Ranchero is on its way; front bumper's bad (which kept the bids relatively low) but I have a good one from the Ranchero I'm kitbashing with the Revell Skyliner. Going to replace the bumper, clean it and that's it.

OK, clean up the flash and that's it .

1/8 scale Pocher built-up '32 Rolls Phantom II for rebuild. Price significantly under market, and way under an unmolested kit

Received a little more damage in shipping and lost a few more parts, but everything is available from various sources.

Dirty and rough with some excess gloo, some sorry workmanship, but still a deal.

228 - A 1:8 scale Pocher 1932 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Drop Head Sedanca Coupe. Bodywork in black ... (not mine, but almost identical)

The plan is to rebody her, inspired by this Figoni et Falaschi example built for the Prince of Nepal.

Though it's supposedly a commission build, in the event the deal falls through, I might re-engine it with a S.C.o.T. supercharged Ardun-equipped Ford.

Just ordered one of these myself, having remembered that I wanted one thanks to seeing your post…paid 30-odd bucks shipped for this same issue, new and sealed…I don't even know what to expect in the box aside from the distinctive green plastic that all of these seem to have.

Is the detail on these kits similar to, say, the Green Hornet / Black Widow kits, or maybe the old 1/24 Monogram Deuce roadsters?  That’s what I imagined I’m getting…

They're better than that, on a par with Monogram's 1/24 scale '34 and '36 Fords and their '40 Ford pickup from the same period.

The scaling and proportions are excellent, though the parts count is not high.

But because of the high quality of the tooling, it's possible to build really beautiful model from any of them with a little effort.

The separately-molded roof sections on the '30, '34, and '36 Fords do require minor filling to look their best, however. They were made separate because the original versions offered convertible build options too.

Picked these up yesterday at a flea market.  The Mustang and Capri were bucket list kits of mine.  I built the Mustang when I was a kid.  Not a great kit, but still pretty cool.

That Mustang is cool. You can use the newer Mustang kits if you want a better chassis and engine.

Cool idea.   I hadn't thought of that.   Might have to check it out.

Thanks Andy!

I always loved the gold chrome on the decals in the '39 Chevy.

These are very nice kits, I'd say. They need work on the welting, and the rear fender fillers, if you build it fenderless. I've heard of a couple of small bugaboos, but nothing major. I can't give you much of a critique as far as how well it assembles, because mine is pretty heavily modified, as you might imagine!?

That gold foil on the decals is really cool.  These look really good, but still.  We’re talking about decals from 1978.  I don’t have immediate plans to build it, but when I do, I’ll definitely be looking for a way to save them.

Excellent!  Thanks for the review Bill!  I've got an original Monogram '34 kit that I haven't tackled yet...I'll DEFINITELY be pleased with my purchase once it arrives then!

Thanks for the info!

Another purchase from Maple Airbrush Supplies in Edmonton, AB. 2 sets of needle packing for H & S airbrushes (123450), and 4 sets of needle packing screws for Iwata ( I 725 1 ). The Iwata part will allow me to update my older Iwata Revolution HP-CR to make it solvent proof.

Went to my Southside Parkersburg WV Ollie's and they had a nice collection of Coke kits available so I had to snag a few...

Also went by the Wally world just up the street to find this little magnetic tool organizer for all my nippers and plyers and so on

Like the Ranchero. Wonder who the supplier was, any markings on the chassis plate. The reason I ask is that maybe if you could find the grill and bumper parts from one of the old AMT annual kits if they wouldn't work as replacements.
