If you can find one, Tamiya has the racing version of this kit.

While it's not super-detailed, I have a Monogram Kurtis Craft car I built about 30 years ago. It was one I got in the double kit, with the Edmunds Supermod. It was molded in red, so, of course I wanted it to be yellow!

That is a perfect example to show why I disposed of my unbuilt kit. I am completely aware of my modelling abilities.

Steve--At the time, it was easy! I just shot Model Master metallizer on it first. I would probably use Alclad, now. The silver just stopped the red pigment, in its tracks. In a development I couldn't believe, this thing actually placed in Salt Lake City! I still don't know why or how it did. It's a very basic build.

Right place at the right time. Local hobby shop received a large selection of kits from a family member, their dad had passed away. All the car and pickup kits had sold quickly but the semi kits remained, so I bought the remainder of the truck kits.

From what I understand, both the Tamiya E31 and the NSX were both full detail?

The E31 Bimmer is just the RevellAG kit reboxed with a better set of tires & instructions. The 1st Gen NSX is still in the active Tamiya catalog, I just picked one up at HLJ for $15.13. The Acura boxing was something done back when the car was new and was a specific kit for the North American market (via TamiyaUSA). But the current Honda NSX boxing comes with the LHD parts and Acura decals.
