OldNYJim Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Few stash-adds today…bunch of fun stuff… A few more of these for my stash… Some cool AMT built ups, an old Monogram (I think) Deuce, plus a resin Model A by ?? One of these - missing some little bits, but a tonne of useful vintage drag parts ARE in there… A showrod I didn’t have… Plus, on a slight tangent, found these while looking for something else…15 years and I still managed to resist the temptation to see what’s in them… 2

Have been wanting to build this ship for 20 years, my dad have been diving on it way back and the found an armory, even though there is almost nothing left of the ship. It sank close to where my Norwegian part of the family lives. And it was also positioned in Narvik during the war, which is where my family have a cottage. So allot of connection to the monster of a ship! Will ad some minor changes such as replacing the typical svastica with the Iron cross and I might buy a deck, but I won’t ad any PE since this version already comes with PE and 1180+ pieces! Was that the sister ship to the Bizmark?

Yes it was, and it was active bigger part of the war, and even though it didn’t make much actual difference in the war due to fuel rationing and it stayed most of its time hidden in north Norway. It took allot of resources from the allied to try to sink it, and they even blew up a dry dock in France to limit the possibility’s for repairs. For me this is local history since it was in Narvik, where we have our cottage as mentioned, and was sunk not far from where my grandparents live. I believe that Bismarck is more famous only thanks to propaganda, the battleship that the allied sunk on its maiden voyage. 2

StevenGuthmiller Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 (edited) My ‘64 Bonneville continues to do pretty well! I entered her a in the NordicCon show in Inver Grove Heights Minnesota yesterday and managed to bring home a couple more goodies for the trophy cabinet. Gold in the “Factory Stock” category, and a best in show for non-competition cars. All in all, this model has produced pretty well for me, picking up 6 awards in 4 different shows over the summer months. Steve Edited September 23, 2024 by StevenGuthmiller 16

niteowl7710 Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 Latest box from HobbyLink Japan Also a few things from LB Production. The Leon AMG sheet and wheels are direct replacements for the ones that come in the Leon AMG kit that Tamiya did. I have other decal schemes that need those Super GT specific rims and frankly who wants to wrestle with Tamiya kit decals. 5

PierreR89 Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 Got a Mack valueliner 6cylinder conversion kit, already have the v8 valueliner conversion from auslowe so now i can build both verisons of the valueliner. The difference i can see in them is that the v8 has a sloping hood and complete wheelarches as the 6cyl version has a more straight hood a bit shorter and seperate wheelarches for the right side where the aircleaner are, the 6cylinder conversion also comes with 2 different sunvisors. 3
A modeler named mike Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 (edited) All the way from Japan to me today. The kit was in a shipping envelope and surprisingly no damage. However, the seller taped the bubble wrap directly to the face of the box art. Even with alcohol on a Q-tip and gentle pulling I still had a few small tears on the box art. I'll live since I'm more interested in the box contents. When I gave my feedback I added some photos and made the seller aware of the horrors of tape and model boxes. Hopefully they will take the advice. Edited September 23, 2024 by A modeler named mike 4

Technics Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 A few goodies. The lotus happened to come with two complete kits! 3
atomicholiday Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 Got one of my grail kits today! I’ve wanted one of these since the mid 70’s. Our classroom had a little model car show one day (this was elementary school) and one of the kids brought this in. His older brother had built it, and it blew my young mind! I never forget that model. Thank you Atlantis for bringing this awesome kit back! 6
