meechum68 Posted Saturday at 01:34 PM Posted Saturday at 01:34 PM Had a friend on a model discord send me these 2 Fairlane's. One is all there the other is ... rough rough, but I will either turn it into a stock car or make a demo derby car out of it. Kyle, if you are here thank you again! 3
A modeler named mike Posted Saturday at 02:01 PM Posted Saturday at 02:01 PM Recent delivery's. I took a chance bidding on a newly issued Roamin Chariot with some box damage and upon opening it, all was intact. Sometimes you get lucky. The second kit, '63 chevy 2 station wagon. 2

Mothersworry Posted Sunday at 10:40 PM Posted Sunday at 10:40 PM (edited) D.A.A.M. Show goodies today, scored bigly...a few Oval Track Legends/Gary Doucette resin Indy car multi-media kits, kinda hard to come by especially the Durant-Miller double kit. An Etzel 1926 Miller RWD, a 1924 Duesenberg Roadster, and acoupla Etzel 1959/60 Watson Roadsters. Also two of the Atomic City '69 AMX's, one with highback bucket seats and one with lowback seats. Picked up sum decals from Jack Smith, Gas Ronda's '63 Galaxie lightweight and '63/64 Galaxie script details. Edited yesterday at 10:40 AM by Mothersworry 9
LDO Posted yesterday at 12:52 AM Posted yesterday at 12:52 AM (edited) The box has seen better days, but the kit is all there and in good shape. I wonder if it ever had other advertisements/markings, or if any were owned by regular Jeans and made into RVs? Edited yesterday at 02:54 AM by LDO 5
redneckrigger Posted yesterday at 12:57 AM Posted yesterday at 12:57 AM Have been looking for an original ‘63 Pontiac Tempest hardtop for years. Saw a couple on eBay at astronomical prices well into three figures. Figured I’d never find one. Then was just perusing Facebook Marketplace about two weeks ago and there it was. Unbuilt, all original, parts still on trees, decals, original box, everything except one original tire that wasn’t there. Holy cow…..and for less than a new Round 2 kit is going for. It has a new home now! Wow! 5
A modeler named mike Posted yesterday at 06:59 PM Posted yesterday at 06:59 PM I couldn't resist, since it's only the second time I’ve seen kits in our local Walmart. I did get to talk to the manager who ordered the display case of assorted kits. He mentioned another case coming at Christmas. Apparently kits are not going to be a regularly stock item. I tried my hardest to advocate for there presence on their shelves. Hopefully someone will listen. 6

Only reason the ones at mine sold was cause they put them on clearance literally like half a week later. Only reason kits sale at Hobby lobby IMO is cause of the 40% of sale. The selection they have isn’t great either, and let’s face it half of us already own 95% of what Hobby lobby is sailing anyways lol. 1

I'm just happy to grab a kit at a decent price and at a physical place instead of via mail. Long gone are the days of my local mainstreet Hobby Shop... 1

My Walmart also got a display of AMT kits, about 1/4 -1/2 the amount as last time, I assume so they won’t have the likes of 10 left over Coca-cola ‘41 Plymouths after Christmas. They would be wise to include some tools and whatever craft paints suitable for painting plastic that they otherwise carry in their crafts dept. (They do have some even in my tiny Walmart!) Also other brands, at least Revell, would generate more model traffic. They are of course are mostly interested in quick sales not supporting the hobby which is unfortunate for people living in the boonies, like me. Edited yesterday at 07:58 PM by #1 model citizen 2

That '80 Monte Carlo sure is neat, I'd get one of those. Word of caution on the '69 XL, if you decide to use the decals that come with the kit, watch out, they're extremely delicate and don't stick all that well. On the one I built I had a hard time with the GT stripes. 1
NOBLNG Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Picked this up at Princess Auto for $8. There are two round files and no “warding” file in the package though. Edited 3 hours ago by NOBLNG 3
meechum68 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Some good stuff, I like the files! Gonna have to give them a look.
