StevenGuthmiller Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Last month haul. Most are from pure luck. You always manage to come up with some real gems Tommy! The '63 Chrysler looks to be a very nice "pristine" kit! The '60 Fury is a tough one to find in decent condition. Now get busy! You've got a lot of projects to build! Steve
Bill Eh? Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 i bought them from a girl, probably a Collection from an ex:) some of the kits have front fork kit from tamiya, and other decals,i will keep some of the kit for my self, and other will be sold,or trade for other kitsYou have some great kits to choose from. Having some with Tamiya front forks is a bonus.
Drake69 Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Finally landed the BRE Datsun and the Starsky & Hutch Torino. Both have been exceedingly hard to get here.STILL have not found a '69 Ford Pickup yet, will have to resort to ordering online to get my hands on one. Grrrr.....
Mike 1017 Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Today I got this Danbury Mint Skyliner for $20.00 at the Kane County Flea Market . The original box, packaging, and paperwork are all there. If he had a credit card machine I would of bought a lot more of them.
The70judgeman Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Went to the annual West Allis car show held right downtown. The bonus for me though is Model Empire, one of the sponsors, was open on a rare Sunday. So, of course I had to stop in. Picked these up today.
Tom Geiger Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 I got this one yesterday at the Diversified Scalerz meet. Sealed kit, had to dispense with the shrink wrap since its one of those pizza box type boxes. Always wanted this and the Camaro versions. I took photos of most of the box contents so I could do a quick review if anyone is interested.
martinfan5 Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Yesterday , been chasing one for a decent price for awhile.

disabled modeler Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 MPC Mercury Cyclone stock car. I wish they could re-issue that in factory stock someday...cool cars just look mean. I have the original issue of the stock car version still sealed but its only that version.
W-409 Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I bought these from a local Model Car Show a while back: -AMT '62 Bel Air Super Stock will be built with kit parts, but of course I need to add some details here and there. -Monogram '66 Malibu Street Rat builtup will be rebuilt as '70s Street Machine, pretty much like the box top shows. But extra detailing and some modifications will be needed as the kit is pretty simple. -AirTrax '65 Ford Cortina resin body. I'm building it as a Street Altered Drag Car. -AirTrax Alfa Romeo Resin body. It's going to be an early '60s Altered. -Slicks & a couple of engines. And then I got that Decal Tray for free. And then I found these accidentally from a local Swap Meet. I was searching for 1:1 car parts for my projects, but found these. As they were pretty cheap, I picked them up. Thunderbird has been started by gluing a couple of parts together and decals are missing from it, but otherwise they seem to be complete and unstarted. Now I just gotta find me a decal sheet for that T-Bird from somewhere.
dublin boy Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Can't wait to see the MK1 Cortina!Any chance of better pics please Nico?
W-409 Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Sure, I started a WIP thread in Drag Racing Models a couple of days ago: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/106203-65-ford-cortina-street-altered/ . The pics are not the best though, looks like Photobucket is lowering picture quality while resizing pics. Before it hasn't done that. Now I gotta try resizing pics different way then. It's definitely an interesting project, and a challenging one, too.
lordairgtar Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I was at our model car club meeting and bought a Challenger (modern) 10 bux and a petty Plymouth from Lindberg at $10, and five bucks worth of raffle tickets netted me the Starsky Torino and a Stooges Willys Gasser. $25 got me an arm load...plus a sheet of DOH decals...yeeehhaaawwwww.
gtx6970 Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 (edited) This week I picked up an empty box for wall art of I think is 1970 Camaro And 3 builtups........ AMT 1959 Impala Craftsman series,,,,, MPC 1971 Cuda and a AMT 1961 Sunliner . Got what I thought was a good buy for the 4 pieces ( less than $80 for it all ) Edited October 7, 2015 by gtx6970
Jon Cole Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 After hard times required last year that I liquidate 1000+ kits, I just bought my second kit- the '49 Mercury Woody. Just too cool to pass up. Also found some #11 size saw blades
Robberbaron Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 I wish they could re-issue that in factory stock someday...cool cars just look mean. I have the original issue of the stock car version still sealed but its only that version.Me too - I've always loved the look of those Cyclones ever since I saw one for the first time.I might try to cross breed this body with the Revell Torino chassis/mechanicals. Body itself wasn't altered too much to create the NASCAR version. Problem would be recreating the factory stock front grille, taillights, interior, etc. Hood was also smoothed for the NASCAR version (now Montego style vs. the original Cyclone style with the scoop).Modelhaus might offer some of this stuff, like the front bumper/grille assembly, never checked. If Revell wanted to get more mileage out of their Torino tooling, they could tool up the Cyclone body/interior/wheels. Chassis and drivetrain from the Torino could be used unchanged, I would think.
disabled modeler Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Robert....My dad owned a 70 or 71 Cyclone GT...loved the shape of it and it really ran. I have the old model that gave you the stock version but its missing or has a lot of parts that are in real bad shape. You just gave me an idea to build a Montego too...
The70judgeman Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Got this from a friend/co-worker. It's an older model of the 1/16 General Lee he built in the '90's. Thinking about stripping it down and redoing it to give back to him.
Johnt671 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 I got this today at Michael's with a 40% off coupon today, along with a few things to do some detail work on a 1/16 Stuz racer I have in the WIP section. Looks like it has a lot of nice parts in it.
aurfalien Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Wow, what a wondeful kit, great packaging! Unsure what teh original was like but it seems they really sprused it up here, Round2 is fantastic!

Deathgoblin Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Got in a Revell Subaru WRX STi. I've been trying to get one for a while. It's complete, just need to strip the paint. $10, free shipping.
Lizard Racing Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 I just bought Revell's BRE Datsun 240Z. I built two during the '70s and hope to take advantage of the better resources available today.
