Was doing my pre-Snake-Fu research and discovered that Plymouth didn't offer a real yellow in 1971. They had Curious Yellow, which I'd call chartreuse or even more of a green than yellow, and Bahama Yellow, which I'd call butterscotch or even more tan than yellow.

That explains why I couldn't remember ever seeing a yellow '71 HemiCuda, or even non-hemi '71Cuda for that matter.

Oh well. I'm going to have a yellow '71 HemiCuda on my shelf, sooner or later. B)

The '71 Barracuda and 'Cuda were available in Y1 Top Banana. That should be the "real" yellow you're looking for. PPG number 2211.

Thanks! I'll have to do some more research. Is this a great site, or what? B)

ETA: Well that didn't take much Google-Fu. It's legit, and was a "spring color." Must not have been on the paint chart I looked at. Thanks again! B)

Hit my local HL yesterday between runs to home improvement stores. Finally had more of the Revell 1970 Chargers, so I got one of those.  Also had the AMT 1940 Ford sedan, that will probably be the one I get on my next visit.

Still no '85 Olds 442 though (at least they still have the space on the shelf reserved, though)

Murphy Co $1.64} Tried on ebay search on this one, But Found that Model Roundup has one for $69.90 + shipping.

That's a kit that I've never had. A re-issue of this would be great. The Monogram 1/24 37 Chevy is ok but it always seemed a little too big to my eye.

G.C. Murphy Co. was always a great place to get kits back in the day.

It's been reissued many times. I bought one at Hobby Lobby within the last year or maybe two. The latest issue has both clear and blue windows, and a really nice decal sheet.

I can't picture the latest box art, but I do remember some of the older box art and it may be why I never had the kit or gave it much thought. And the Monogram kit I am referring to is not a 37 but is the 39 Chevy.

No problem. I get a lot of paint info from this site:

I think the last issue was a reprise of earlier box art, or at least intended to evoke it in retro fashion.

I wouldn't care to guess how many times these AMT '37 Chevies have been re-popped, but it's a bunch!

These are older ones, so I don't know what the most recent box art looked like.

I think I have a coupe & a pair of convertibles.

I was worried that I may never get this one. I asked my local shop if they had one and I was disappointed to hear that there was one on the shelf this morning but it sold, after looking in the system it still showed they had one. The shop owners daughter said oh yeah it in the back, that young lady made my week! And they had ALL plastic kits 15% off.

I plan to get as many as possible, I think Revell did a great job with these and the 83 Hurst Olds. GM G body cars are my thing. Especially the Oldsmobiles. I still hold out hope for a 78-80 Cutlass, 442 or Hurst Olds. I just hope that when I build the FE3-X that I do it justice, the real car is a thing of beauty.

I'm sure you will do it justice!,  i'm mostly an exotics builder, but I do like some American muscle. Mopar is my favorite....use to own a few, but if i'm gonna be honost, I have to say that the others all had their equally as awesome cars!!…..like this one!  When I was born in 1970, EVERY muscle car was fantastic!!…..personally, I think that that year was the best for everyone, and it carried through to the end of 73, and that was it for a loooooong time.

The dump truck and trailers are all still sealed and the tractor is unstarted.

Love the Visible Van! I fondly remember seeing it on the counter at my LHS when I was a kid! And that Woodstock kit! I don't think I ever managed to finish it!!

Also, I remember an outlet type store my Mom used to shop at that carried the ERTL tractors and farm gear. Good memories!

Does she have a sister? ^_^ :D

Nice score, especially the MF tractor, which isn't likely to ever be reissued.
