bpletcher55 Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 got this done while the forums was down, hope you like it? comments welcome,
crazyjim Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Except for the rusty stuff, I love it. Is that a resin cab? From where?
gonzo64nova Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Thats the way a transporter should look, like its been out rounding up rusty hot rods to build. Good one Blair! - Bill
crazyrichard Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 awsomeness !!!!!!!! i dont like the exhaust pipes , for me they kind of ruin the realism , the whole style is awsome and vintage and those massive pipen (diameter) dont really fit the rest but hey .... just love the rest ... love it
502 Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Heck yea, that turned out great! I was wondering how it was coming along as the forum was down.
Danno Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Decent, but I have to agree . . . the oversized exhaust pipes detract from its overall appearance. Compare the amount of air going in (through those tiny little carb intakes) to the amount of air going out (through those massive sewer pipes) and it just doesn't work.
Rusty Sierra Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Man... every time you post I can't help but let my jaw drop a little. This thing is beyond cool.
502 Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I think the stacks are perfect. They would look dumb if any smaller.
bpletcher55 Posted July 19, 2013 Author Posted July 19, 2013 THANKS GUYS FOR ALL THE COMMENTS GOOD AND BAD ,I SHOULD HAVE MADE THE STACKS JUST A BIT SMALLER BUT THATS WHAT I WENT WITH ,I,M HAPPY !
Gramps2u Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Cool truck. I would weather the inside of the exhaust stacks with some soot being the rest of the rig is weathered . Pretty nifty.
bpletcher55 Posted July 20, 2013 Author Posted July 20, 2013 i will have to post a compleated pic of the truck ,it won first place at our club meeting on july6th,
Tom Geiger Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 This is the first time I've seen it done, you nailed it as usual. Great model!
