southpier Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 that's ridiculous; Everyone know Chinese for breakfast is eaten cold. rib bones tossed out the window from the high speed lane is okay, too.
blunc Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I think we also tried to get the same engineer to check the value of a fuse with a meter, he usually stayed away from us after that.
Guest Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I think we also tried to get the same engineer to check the value of a fuse with a meter, he usually stayed away from us after that. LOL! Playing little pranks helps make the day go by faster. We normally send the "new" guy out for a coffee run in the morning. The foreman hands the kid a list and cash and off he goes. One time the list had "2 cans of ohms" written at the bottom, the kid was gone for almost an hour. He comes back and says "I got everything on the list except the 2 cans of ohms. I hit 3 different gas station convience stores and no one ever heard of it. Who makes it, Coke or Pepsi?" The kid never went on a coffee run again...
Joe Handley Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Digital Multi Meter Ah, I usually just call it a Multi Meter, plus I rarely use a digital one when I do.
Jantrix Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Chrysler built something fairly recently that required removing a wheel to get the battery out. I was not impressed. Yep, My 96 Stratus was one. It's in the forward area of the drivers side wheel well. I had taken it in for a timing belt change at 95K and had the bright idea to have them change the battery, as it was well past the five year mark. The shop manager quoted me $20 plus the battery and I agreed. When I picked up the car that night, the mechanic came in and told me it was the best $20 I'd ever spent. He had to modify a tool to get the job done. It took him over an hour.
Joe Handley Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 My 200 is set up like that too, not sure how easy it will be to change, but there will be no swapping it out in the Farm and Fleet parking lot then bring the old one back in as soon as we're done like I've done with the ones in my Jeep.
cobraman Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Drove to Wallyworld this morning to get a few things. Parked and then realized I had left my wallet at home. My own stupid fault but irked me anyway. I hate when I don't have anyone else to blame. : )
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I don't look down on anyone unless they are the type that are unwilling to put forth the effort to be good at what they do. X2
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I hate when I don't have anyone else to blame. : ) Yup, that's the worst. And for me, it happens all TOO often...
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 that's ridiculous; Everyone know Chinese for breakfast is eaten cold. rib bones tossed out the window from the high speed lane is okay, too. Yeah, really. And the bones are bio-degradable anyway. Same goes for banana peels.
DonW Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 that's ridiculous; Everyone know Chinese for breakfast is eaten cold. rib bones tossed out the window from the high speed lane is okay, too. That reminds me - where I lived we used to get Kentucky Fried punctures!
Tom Geiger Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Yep, My 96 Stratus was one. It's in the forward area of the drivers side wheel well. Yup, my two Plymouth Breezes were the same. I never even tried, just took it to Pep Boys and paid their extra charge. The light bulbs on those cars are also a pain. You need to remove the headlight or tail light from the car to change the bulb. Other cars I was able to reach in behind and just replace the bulb! My Jaguar S Type battery is in the trunk. The fuse box is right next to it under the trunk mat
Pete J. Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Love the prank on the new guys! When I was flying in the Air Force, we use to send the new kid on the crew back to base ops to get the keys to the airplane. On KC-135s the boom was often kind enough to do the coffee run for the pilots. Invariably an new copilot would ask for a half a cup. The boom would pull out his survival knife and cut the Styrofoam cup vertically and serve the coffee that way. Brings back fond memories!
Monty Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Why has Coast Airbrush been out of Badger Anthem 155 airbrushes for so long? When they had them in stock, you could buy them at a reasonable cost. Now almost everybody's asking way more than they're worth on Ebay, Amazon etc.
Tom Geiger Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 My favorite pub of four years changed their Happy Hour menu without notice. No more half price wings and mussels, they decided people wanted mac & cheese and tiny little meatball sandwiches instead. Guess we need to find a new place!
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 My guess is that mac-n-cheeze & tiny little meatball samidges are cheaper and easier. 'Sides, after 5 beers, who cares what you're eating?

No more half price wings and mussels, they decided people wanted mac & cheese and tiny little meatball sandwiches instead. Guess we need to find a new place! I think their financial guys decided to go with mac and cheese and meatballs instead... Mac and cheese is dirt cheap, and you can make meatballs out of just about any kind of... um... "meat"...
1972coronet Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 that's ridiculous; Everyone know Chinese for breakfast is eaten cold. rib bones tossed out the window from the high speed lane is okay, too. HA ! It's so disgusting ! Some-thing so Jurrasic about smelling Soy and chicken while consuming oatmeal ! BARF !
Mark Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 I'll lay odds that the financial guys aren't eating mac and cheese, or meatballs...

crazyjim Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 It's been raining all day and looks as if it will continue through the evening. That means no pool tonight. On the good side, we'll still be having pizza, and then popcorn while watching WWE Friday Night Smackdown.
