I had to join a meeting during my lunch hour to review how to avoid wasting time.

during the meeting the meeting host said it took her 3 days to prepare the power point on how to avoid wasting time

Sounds like the meeting and presentation were an effective means of how to waste my time.

Caught my little rescue dog chewing on the lamp cord. Didn't get to the wire so should be pleased about that. Only had him a couple of months and caught him chewing on my shoe laces or slippers if left lying around. Plenty of chew toys to use, which he does but apparently that's not enough.

Still he's done a pretty good job of learning the rules around the house so progress is being made.

I had this problem with my mother's Malamute chewing on the cord to my workbench. My mother would unplug it at night, and the dog, who was teething, would chew it. One night, I plugged it back in and went to bed. In the morning, there was a single bite mark. Thereafter, the dog made sure the cords weren't attached to anything before chewing them. Darn animals are too smart for their own good.

Went back to cardiologgist today after doing a heart monitor.  Seems my heart is running too slow.  After a stress test in a couple of weeks there is probably a pacemaker in the very near future.

The Post Office. They were supposed to deliver my new camera tripod from Amazon today. Then I check the tracking and it says it's on hold. So I called the post office and dealt with the robomenu until I finally got to speak to someone after being on hold for 20 minutes. She said my address didn't scan correctly like there was something wrong with it only there was nothing wrong with it. While I was on the phone with here I received another text tracking update that said I would get it by 9PM today. The original tracking said from 2:15 to 5:15 today. They managed to deliver mail to my mailbox but not my tripod from Amazon. Maybe I'll get it tomorrow I hope.

Sorry to hear that Jim. I hope you will be able to avoid that.

It was actually yesterday. I went to HL to see if they had any Bare Metal Foil. They did not. But what I saw was the current Oldsmobile 442 and the 57 T-bird sitting there. The round seals were cut and you could tell someone rough housed them a bit to get them opened. I thought I'd take them to the front desk to see if they would do better than the 40% off on them but decided they might think I was the culprit. Sadly I can see HL stop carrying model kits, Like my local Micheal's, in the future do to the theft of items taken from the kits. I've also seen this in Estate sales. I've seen people take items out of kits. Go out side. Most likely to their car. And then come back in and take the kit to the sales person and show that things were missing. It's sad that these people will ruin it for everyone else.

Sad part of it of it all is the salesperson/cashier and the manager are too stupid to see the BS lies of the crooked customer.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... I know the mantra that "the customer is always right" but in every single kit he's bought? Give me a break.

I miss the days when you could call a business or Dr, office and the phone was answered by a human that was there to help you. I just spent over a half hour calling to ask a question to my doctor or asst.  Many menus to go through that are no help. If you are lucky enough to pick the correct menu you are subjected to a voice telling you every 30 seconds that there is an unusual heavy call load and we will get to you ASAP.  Well that time never comes. I gave up. I think I could have driven to the office in less time. My wife will try later or tomorrow. She is much calmer than I am.  Thanks, I feel better !

Had my last physical therapy appointment today following my knee replacement last November 29th.  Therapist told me there is nothing else they can do.  Still have some swelling in the joint and difficulty walking with a correct gait.  Have appointment with surgeon next Thursday and will see what his recommendations are. Therapists have mentioned possible edema therapy, maybe having to do some scar tissue removal.  Whatever it takes doesn't sound like a lot of fun and is going to seriously affect my gardening and fishing time this spring.

We had the Covid excuse for the last couple of years and now this. I laugh when I hear this message because every single place you call has this excuse. Apparently it really isn't that unusual, is it?

Had a similar thing happen to me yesterday.  Called the doc to get a refill on meds. Message said there was no one in the call que, but then I get the message that all lines are busy and please hold or leave a message and we'll call you back.  left message. Didn't hear from them all day so I called the next day and waited for someone to pickup.  I told her about the message yesterday and she said their messaging machine was not working.

Gee willikers. You're a doctor and your "message machine isn't working"?

I think I'd be looking for a doctor who took his responsibility a little more to heart.

Not too hard to send somebody to WalMart to pick up a cheapo for even a temporary fix.

I mean, it's not like doctors can't afford 50 bucks...especially when it's a write-off anyway.

I llike the doc and she probably isn't even aware of the message machine issue.

Well...the thing about delegating responsibility is that part of the boss's job is making sure those delegated responsibilities are taken care of.

Reliable communication is pretty important where health and medicine are concerned.

Went for a walk with the wife today in a local city owned park. Didn’t go far before noticing that some folks don’t bother to clean up after their dogs.? Then just a little ways down the trail we came upon this disgrace!? With all the taxes we pay, this should not be happening! No wonder some people don’t feel obligated to do their part.?

A couple of weeks ago I bid an 3 1/72 scale Douglas DC-3 aircraft Testors/Italeri.  The details said (not quoting) 'Three model kits two sealed one missing some parts'.  They arrived today and I got two sealed kits and one missing "some parts".  Can anyone tell me just what parts might be missing?

If I had not received the two sealed kits I would be livid. The picture the auction site posted was similar to the first picture except it was leaning against the two sealed kits. Oh, BTW the open kit had three bottles of Testors paint.  I opened one and it looked ok, however I do not know exactly what color they are since there is no name on the label, just Testors Pla Enamel.
