Received some resin pieces from Ebay. 62-66 GMC hood & 60-66 grill.

Auction only had one pic of the parts. Said new. No idea who cast them.

Should have know better, but was cheap. Grill has a slight twist, but hood is a POS.

Haven't heard back from the seller yet.

Yikes!

Who was the seller?? They HAD to see that the hood should have been unsaleable! One reason I don't care for one pic sellers or ones that shoot pics from 'far away' as if to hide something.

If this seller doesn't make this right I would rate him with E-Bay as if they would do anything to put this guys feet to the fire.

eBay / PayPal have a buyer-protection plan that actually works very well. All you have to do is go through the motions. In  well over 2000 transactions, I've never lost a penny because some fool sent me garbage.

That's good to know, thank you.

Yeah Bill, and the others that commented,I know all about Ebay. Been there a while as a buyer & seller. I know they have their protection safeguards in place,& I think they cater more towards the buyer these days.  I have been ripped off 2 times in the past with no refund or product.

No reply from the seller as of earlier,so sent him a refund request.  He has 100% profile. I will keep everyone posted.

My sister works for the ambulance service, and tonight she came home from work 6 hours early with a black eye cos some dirty junkie attacked her while she was saving ITS friends life. Took me ten minutes to find out where IT hangs out and who with. I'm no psychic but i dont need a crystal ball to see pain in ITS future

I was in a minor fender bender yeterday that managed to knock out my steering. Not upset at the girl that hit me, that intersection was kinda slick, plus this is her first winter as a driver, kinda, see this as a "stuff happens" moment . What did annoy me though was that it was this slick, but I'm not sure if there was any clearing or salting done until AFTER I called 911 for us, and we were passed by at least 5 more by the time my 200 was loaded on the flatbed to bring it home. Oh, and that first plow by stopped to see if we were ok (we were), and in doing so, slid to a stop himself<_<

Not upset ? Must have been a cute girl ! :D

Eh, I'm old enough to be her father, but still young enough to still remember driving in the winter at her age.

We have a 2011 Rav 4, hands down the BEST car we have ever had, and we've had a LOT of them. It started making a very loud howling sound from the rear end. I figured it was to do with the viscous coupler, but, not being a Toyota expert, figured I'd call my buddy who is the master mechanic at the dealer where we got it, and confirm my fears. He said, yup, for sure, real loud right, yup VERY loud. Then he told me it was about $1500 for parts alone. He could probably feel me cringe over the phone. But then he said, hey wait a minute. He put the phone down and came back a minute or two later and told me it was covered by an extended warranty program they have. Totally free, labor included. Holy cow! I AM an American iron lover, (have a '46 and a 2012 Chevy truck and a '91 Mustang GT), but this Toyota is GREAT!

As a retired Paramedic in Massachusetts, we used to be covered by a law that made it a felony to assault a member of EMS. Still made it REAL hard not to have a dirtbag accidentally slip and fall during the call, if you know what I mean.

I believe I do, that last step into the ambulance is a little slippy

OK, model related as this is yet another eBay annoyance. I was surfing eBay early this morning and came across a particular model that is rather common. To not give the guy grief (as he did to me as you'll read), I won't mention his seller name, or tell you what model it was. I don't want folks trying to search him out and give him grief.

This particular car while offered by two different kit makers, those of us in the know can tell that there are differences in the body shape. In the auction he described the car as an 'AMT' kit, but I could spot right away that it was a Revell. I wrote and (I thought) very nicely tried to tell him that what he has is NOT an AMT but indeed a Revell kit. I even pointed out why that was the case.

He wrote back and said "They're all owned by one company now". I wrote back and said.............No not really. You have another car in an auction which clearly belongs to AMT, the other one you have listed is not. Someone that's quick to bid or buy and is not careful looking, might get a bit ticked off that what they bought was not exactly what you described.

To add to this, the AMT one was a one year annual and AFAIK has never been resissued, while the Revell one is a LOT more common.

Just a little bit ago, I got his response that said in big fat letters "CEASE CONTACT!"

OK....I seemed to hit a nerve and I was just a bit peeved at once again the sheer laziness of some sellers as to what they're describing. I see on his other auctions that he has EVERYTHING labeled as AMT. Some are obvious as those of us who know can spot a Johan exclusive for instance. But this particular car because it's so common can fool those that aren't looking closely.

Just had to air that as it kinda irked me that he didn't want to hear it.

And last I checked because I'm watching the auction, he didn't change the description. It'll be interesting to see what kind of feedback he gets when the buyer gets it. We'll see............... ;)

It's sad, but even a 100% feedback is no guarantee anymore that you won't run into trouble. If you read my post above, the character I was describing also has a 100% feedback rating, but he's been lucky that he's not gotten bad feedback before from how he describes his auctions.

I know in upstate New York. It's a felony to attack a nurse in a hospital. They should make it the same for EMTs. EMTs don't get the credit they deserve. The county next to where I live just lost their ambulance service. Sad.

Well I think it's a felony if you attack anyone, especially if you cause bodily harm to the person. You guys should talk to the police before doing anything.Good luck.

Let them know that their dog barks all day. If that doesn't work, record their dog and play it back LOUD in the middle of the night. When they come over to tell you that your dog barks all night, tell them you don't own a dog it is a recording of what their dog does all day. It will either fix the problem or start a neighbor feud. Keep us posted.
