Can I help you ? I delete it because I am just looking and doing some research. Sure enough 10 seconds later there is that pop up again. Maybe its just me but I find it frustrating. Yea, that little pop up floats across the screen and hitting the "X" on it is like being in a shooting gallery. No sooner do you nail that one and another one pops up. Very annoying.

ewetwo Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 A couple of things this week. One. I found out I have type 2 diabetes. Also my high blood pressure meds were in the recall. And a cell phone incident. Dealing with insurance and hospitals. What I wrote in an email to a friend. Explains the first incident yesterday. 1. I went to Nan at St. Mary’s who is a dietitian. Very nice and informative. But I can’t go back. When I got home from the class there was the info I was suppose to fill out and give the secretary when I got there. A little late. I just felt like I should double check things with my insurance. Well everything depends on how St. Mary’s submits the billing to my insurance. If they submit it as St. Mary’s Hospital. Nothing is covered. If it’s billed from the Diabetic Education Center it is. My insurance said to call St. Mary’s billing to find out. No one answers at St. Mary’s billing number. You get a message telling you to call customer service who doesn’t have access to billing information. And it could take up to a year for it to be processed. So I’m suppose to go through 3 more sessions. There isn’t anyone at St. Marys who can even tell me how much each session will. So I guess I can’t go. And the cell phone incident 2. Funny story. My cell phone rang a couple of times. Not many people have that number. So I looked at the number. Didn’t recognize it. So I called back and screamed “Stop (really bad word) calling here”. Guess who it was. My doctor calling because of the portal message I left at his office about the diabetes class. He said “I totally know where you are coming from. They ought to have legislation to stop the telemarketing calls". I said "there was but that kind of stopped a couple of years ago".I was also stressed because I was trying to finish Turbo Tax and Allan was standing over my shoulder making comments on what I was doing. I finally told him to go in the other room. Maybe the alcohol would help. LOL

TarheelRick Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 (edited) Had some serious steering issues with my lawnmower all last season, but did not really want to take it out of service during mowing season. The issue is I had a really bad toe-out, took it to a "reputable" repair shop, before last season began. When I got it back my yard needed mowing . Did not really notice at first, but the steering was really wonky in reverse. When I first begin backing the tires toe-in, then they will begin to turn in some rather odd directions from each other. Eventually I am dragging the front tires in reverse and the mower decides which direction it wants to go. So far I have replaced both tie rods and just this past week both drag-links. The system is very simple, I cannot figure what the problem is. I have checked on-line, but cannot find any help. I did come across a review section for the drag links (Craftsman/Searspartsdirect) that mentioned the same issue when they replaced the drag-links. They are a very poor design, I had to get a replacement for one I received, it was in just as bad shape as the one I was replacing, those ends are wrapped in plastic. What irks me is I can find all sorts of repair sites, but none address this particular issue. Edited March 23, 2019 by TarheelRick
NYLIBUD Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 Ah,man I placed an order for something for my car. They tell me they have a set.Great, then they tell me I have one,but they won't have the second one till July,it's on back order. And it's the manufacturer, because it's on back order through,Jegs,Summit racing, and others. So I have to wait,I guess.

I sell lots of stuff on eBay, mostly gun parts and some toys as well. And I always write a code for what it is on the label so as not to get stuff mixed up. So I sell a stock bolt for a JC Higgins Model 60 shotgun to someone from the midwest. I write M60BOLT on the label. He gets the package and sends me an email, totally berating me for writing such an evil thing on his package. He says that I just tagged the FBI onto him for buying M60 machine gun parts. He then reports me to eBay for selling machine gun parts. He continues to send me emails threatening my well being for exposing him to the ATF and FBI as a buyer of machine gun parts, and what the **** did I think I was doing? Didn't I know that saying there were machine gun parts in the envelope would make someone follow the package to his door to arrest him????!!!! I have been selling "stuff" on eBay for years, and this is definitely the most paranoid wingnut I have EVER encountered. Not to mention that the package I sent him fit into an envelope 3 inches long and weighed 2 ounces. A real M60 machine gun bolt would be much longer and heavier. eBay actually apologized to me for his insults, and then disabled his account.
espo Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Maybe, just maybe this guy has a reason for being so paranoid. Sounds as if you did everything correctly. This guy sounds like he could become a little scary. If you haven't already I would git a nice big folder and save all of his rants and threats, dates and times. Even E Bay's letter. If this guy is still carrying on I would consider contacting one of if not all of the alphabet agencies, he has threatened you and one can assume he is armed.

Yeah, I'm 100% thinking the same as Espo, there's something off about that guy and I would keep a file on him if needed, might not hurt talking to somebody in the local PD if he's "local enough" (day's drive), just in case.

I would sit down with someone at the local PD and explain just what has happened. You might want to take any documents you have also. The Officer can't legally give you legal advice but they can give you suggestions as to what options you may have. It will also help if they have knowledge of your situation just in case "The Pull Chain Facility hits the Fan".

espo Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 Wasn't there a presidential candidate a few years ago who's last name was associated with this discharge thing ?? I know I know this is shaky ground but it just came to my demented mind.

ewetwo Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 It's happened to me a few time lately Ron. I figure it wasn't meant to be. There will be another.
Mark Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 You don't know if you lost it by $1, only that the high bidder's bid was higher than yours at the end by that increment. He might have been willing to pay a lot more than that, it's just that nobody stretched him out more than you did. I've never used a sniping program, but on the other hand I try to throw my bid in as late as possible. You only have to be high bidder for one second, just as long as it's the last second.
cobraman Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 I just always bid what I am willing to pay up front. If I loose, oh well. Most times I find one again with a better price.
