This is your chance to get your voice heard guys and gals.

What kits from AMT would you like to see reissued from AMT for 2008?

If you have specifics, like last year produced, kit name, etc., that would help a lot.

Thanks everyone.

I sincerely hope everyone has a safe, happy, and very Merry Christmas.

'60 starliner w/ custom parts

'70 superbee w/ stock parts ( non-prostreet)

I'd be happy with whatever jewels that Stevens International and Dave Burket manage to unearth - plus I wouldn't mind seeing the Prestige 63 Corvette again, if nothing else for the sweet hardtop option!!! Any and all truck and Motor City/Craftsman reissues would be welcomed as well!!

I too appreciate any kits that Dave can "bring back to life". However, I do tend to enjoy the old annuals of the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Here's my sample, or two cents worth. There are MY wants, and not necessarily kits that would be profitable sellers, if they are even still existant.

1962-1963 Ford Fairlane 500

1963-1965 Plymouth Valiant Signet 200

1977-1980 Plymouth Volare' (MPC)

1975 Plymouth "Small Fury" Road Runner

1967-1968 Ford Galaxie 500XL

1968-1969 Chevrolet Impala SS

1969-1972 Pontiac Grand Prix

1960-1969 factory stock Ford Falcon

1960-1963 Mercury Comet

1960-1966 Imperial Crown

Since I build mostly factory stock...I would prefer the option of that type of build. I do realize that many of these kits were "compromised" into renditions that would prevent them from being restored.

:rolleyes: Fury3

Subaru Brat...only issued once.

VW Scirocco..ditto

VW Rabbit....ditto

AMT Mercury Capri, last seen in the Cafe Racer series

MPC Pontiac Fiero. last seen in 1987?

Toyota Supra. last seen as an annual in the 80's

72 GMC Pickup...last seen in early 90's

92 Camaro (Ex MPC kit. the good one). last seen in 92

Top of the list 41 Woody Stock (30051) Had the great Columbia 2 speed rear axle. :rolleyes:

70 GTO has been out for a while.

51 Chevy Sedan version.

70 Super Bee stock version (the OHC Hemi could be thrown in too.) B)

I am also fresh out of 49 Fords but everyone else probably has a few extras, so I'm good. :D

Any one of the four MPC annual Trans Am kits (70-73) Probably not feasible due to yearly corrections. The MPC Flamethrower firebird funny car. Arnie Beswick had one too that was pre-painted in a pearl white. It too was a Firebird Funny car, can't remember the name now though.

I'll throw in a vote for the Scirocco and Rabbit to get re-popped.

I also would love to see the 88-95 C1500 Chevy P/U series done again too. (454SS and Boyd Hauler included)

Gregg, you mean kits of which it's certain that the tooling still exists or suppose to exist?

Or do you wanna include complete reverse engineering subjects?

TIA

& Merry Christmas to you all.

Both, actually.

If it was made by AMT or MPC, then that covers it.

Yes, some kits would have to be redone, reverse engineered as you say, but that doesn't hinder our wishes, right?

Thanks Luc!

Hope you are having a great Christmas already

I just got up, and most of you, or actually all of you, are more than halfway through your Christmas day :-)

Like many of the others, mid-60s annuals, especially:

58 Pontiac;

60 Chevy station wagon;

62-4 Corvair;

63-65 Imperials;

64 Grand Prix (having trouble restoring the butchered one I have now);

64-67 MPC Corvettes with the working suspensions;

on the showrod side...all of the Zingers;

Chuck Miller's Fire Truck;

Those will keep me busy for a year or so...Thanks for asking

HMMMMM. That's a tough one lemmme see...

AH!-HA

1. A full detail kit of the McQuay-Norris speedster

2.The Stout Scarab

3.Bucky Fullers Dymaxion!!

jes kiddin',what ever the companies produce is OH TAY wit me.(I'll B&M after they are released)

What I'd REALLY like to see is the model companies stop putting scribed in markings under the hoods that ghost thru after painting.

sink marks in frames(I'm aware of draft angles in injection molding.Make the frmaes multi- piece so that's not an issue.)

This is a good start.

Gregg,

I'm curious, some people seem to be assuming you are asking this question as an agent for Stevens Internationall or Dave Burkett. Is that true or could there be another source requesting the information or maybe it's just your own question?

My choices:

1925 Model T Ford roadster and coupe

1960 Ford Starliner with custom parts and stock parts

1949 Ford

Any '60s Ford pickups

1953 Studebaker

Just about any of the annuals (restored to stock where necessary)

Thanks for asking!

I would really like it if they were to re-issue the 1/16th dodge charger.

the Richard Petty Version from the 70s is the one kit on my grail List I have yet to get. I'd be happy with the street machine version form the late 80s. I know 1/16th is not popular but that kit is really ripe for a reissue, as it has not been seen since the late 80s.

Generic decals would be fine. I would buy at least two. That just leaves 4,998 more.

They did a Scirocco??? Put me down for one of those.
