Sixx Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Sunday afternoon, I was heading northbound on I-65 around Merrillville IN/rte 30, on the southbound lanes...only got a quick look coz it was going fast...I'm pretty sure it was a Lambo...not sure which model...it was bright orange, blacked out wheels, & hood. That bad boy was like a missile with wheels! I wish I knew my Lambo models by sight...just not sure which one it was...

unclescott58 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 (edited) Sad to say, I had to drive a car from St. Paul, MN to Seattle, WA last week and saw almost nothing interesting. I know it's the wrong time of year to see many cool vehicles on the route I took. I-94 to I-90. But, the only thing I saw remotely cool was a modern Dodge Challenger going the other way in western Montana. I need to take that back somewhat. On the train ride back, I saw a few cool old cars and trucks sitting in fields near the tracks. But, other than a '60 Olds 4-door sedan, nothing too exciting. Crazy Ed Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I saw 4 of these Caravan into Whitewater Draw this Afternoon.
The70judgeman Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 A Porsche Panamera. Kind of an unusual for the weather around here. Bet it'll be in the garage this weekend with 3-6 inches of snow on the way!
Casey Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Andy might recognize this '73 or '74 Charger, and the elderly gentleman who drives it year 'round. I spy it once a year or so, and happened to catch it/him a few days ago:
The70judgeman Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Actually, I can't say that I do. Where was the pic taken? Pretty good shape for a 40+ year old regular everyday year-round driver though. Lots of car washes!
Casey Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Actually, I can't say that I do. Where was the pic taken? Pretty good shape for a 40+ year old regular everyday year-round driver though. Lots of car washes! Near the Lowe's on 45 & Burleigh. I've seen him cruising around the Falls a few times, too.
The70judgeman Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 I don't get up that way...especially on the surface streets and rarely on 45.
Rob Hall Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Saw a really clean black '73/74 Nova 4dr in traffic yesterday...haven't seen a 4dr Nova of that era in a long time. Also saw a black Bu Maxx (the uncommon Malibu Maxx hatchback from about 10 years ago, but missing the 'Mali' letters on the tailgate...)
FASTBACK340 Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 1975 Monza ( "H-Special" platform of the Vega ) . Original-issue blue / gold California licence plates ( "M"-series ; M=1975 ) . Don't know what's under its bonnet ; could be an Iron Duke , or a 3.8 litre Chevrolet , or a 262 V8 ; I have no idea ... 1975monza_16jan2015.jpg I was operating under it's own power and INTACT!?!? Wow, we haven't seen one of those out here in a LONG time. They all disintegrated years ago!
Rob Hall Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Saw a clean dark red '70 Impala convertible rolling w/ the top down, and drove past the Barrett-Jackson store..on their forecourt they had a yellow Superbird, blue '69 Yenko Camaro, and a goregous black '66-67 Lincoln Continental convertible, top down..
gtx6970 Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Technically its not on the road ,,,,,,, but during a visit to my local pick and pull a while back I saw this. It'll never be back on the road ,,,,,, but this just isnt something you see in a junkyard around here anymore. Originally a 1968 Barracuda Formula S , 383 auto
cobraman Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Graveyard cars could fix that..... for a price.
landman Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Didn't see it on the road but on Facebook, I thought you guys'd get a kick out of it. Some pickup!!!
cobraman Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Yesterday while stuck on the 10 I saw a red SSR and a very nice customized oval window VW which was also red. Sounded great going through the tunnel.
Joe Handley Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Saw that beater Beetle again the other day as well as a C4 Vette roadster tonight after work.
Maindrian Pace Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 '57-ish Porsche 356A. Cool to see a beater version running around. -MJS
The70judgeman Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Saw this Porsche 944 in a parking lot as I was about to leave. Kind of an odd "winter beater."
topher5150 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Didn't grab a pic, but I was gassing up when I heard this rumbling pulling to the pump behind me, I look and it's a bright red 69/70 Nova SS, mind you I'm in Michigan, but when he got out he was wearing a carheart so I'm guessing he was working on it and wanted to make sure everything was up to snuff.
Agent G Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Two days and two gorgeous vintage Buick Skylarks. A blue '70 coupe and a white "71 convertible. Saw a Lamborghini at the same time I saw the white drop top Buick. I'd take the Buick. G
W-409 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 I saw a green '66 Dodge Dart here in Finland on those snowy & salty roads. It really made my day as it's nice to see that I'm not the only one to drive around with a Rear wheel drive, chrome bumper American Car.
Foxer Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Saw this Porsche 944 in a parking lot as I was about to leave. Kind of an odd "winter beater." Bah .. I had five 924/944's and ALL were driven year round in the western mountains of Massachusetts! .. and none were beaters. The have galvanized bodies and not a spot of rust appeared an any of them over a 20 odd year time. WE have lot of snow and they use salt galore on the roads. The firs three were trouble in a snowstorm as there were no winter tired available at the time. Once I could get four winters on the last two I could go out on a job in a storm .. and make it up my steep driveway!
