slusher Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 My wife dusted my model room and back in the same place. Sweet woman....
martinfan5 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 My local WalMart store with their awesome customer service , refunded my money on a non working gift card with out me having a receipt, probably helped that they were able to find my transaction in the system.
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Stopped by my LHS (which in this case is a HobbyTown) and was struck by how many great old models have been re-issued, and how many newer ones are available from folks like Moebius. There's more variety in models on the shelves now than I'd ever thought I'd see again. Only downer was that the HO train-car kits were almost all gone, and have been really light at this store for years now.
Snake45 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Couple years ago I bought a Corvette "junkyard" off eBay that turned out to have a restorable original AMT '73 Corvette Coupe body in it--but no hood or front bumper. No other currently available Corvette parts fit and Modelhaus doesn't repop these. Last Sunday I scored a reasonably priced unbuilt AMT '75 roadster on eBay. It arrived today and the hood and front bumper seem to be perfect fits. Better yet, I now won't even have to scrounge up chassis, engine, etc for the project--I seem to have everything I need to go.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Only downer was that the HO train-car kits were almost all gone, and have been really light at this store for years now. I'm glad that we bought all of our rolling stock kits when we did. We bought probably fifty kits, mostly Bowser ones, for about $5 a piece when they were on sale.
Danny Lectro Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 My wife cooked up a batch of homemade crab rangoon.
Danno Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 The end of winter and return of warm weather today! Hello again shorts, sandals, and tropical shirts, my friends!
chunkypeanutbutter Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Got a couple nice shirts at Goodwill yesterday. One Hawaiian, another orange button-up shirt, five bucks for both! Today I got up early and made French toast for breakfast.
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I realized I had apparently been sick for a couple of days, and not just getting real old all of a sudden.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Had a good lunch at Dysart's: strawberry shake, and a bacon chicken burger.
slusher Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Had a good lunch at Dysart's: strawberry shake, and a bacon chicken burger. Do you go to high school or have you finished?
slusher Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Finally seem to be beating the builders block. Back working on my models...

High octane Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I'm pleased that I didn't have a TON of snow to plow in my driveway this morning. The temps are really cold and my body is getting older whether I like it or not.

I wish I could say the same about car kits in model shops here in the UK. steve
Tom Geiger Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I'm pleased that I didn't have a TON of snow to plow in my driveway this morning. The temps are really cold and my body is getting older whether I like it or not. The problem here is that there is snow on my driveway and sidewalk, but not enough to use my snow blower! That means shoveling... ugh!
mustang1989 Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 First off I woke up on this side of the dirt and had a fairly good day despite it being busy. Then got to come home to my family and spend some time with them. In short..............I'm well pleased.
Agent G Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Woke up to 68 degree temps and it's my Friday. Got a package yesterday with the wrong kit in it. Simple mistake as the kit numbers are close between the one I ordered and the one they sent. One email later and I am informed the right kit is in the mail and they sent a prepaid FedEx label to ship the other back. Not bad, not bad at all. G
cobraman Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Good report from my doctor today... That's great Carl.
