FAST had a model car display for the Detroit City Customs Winter Run yesterday at the Garlits Museum. We put up our 20' pole flying Old Glory and a POW/MIA flag as normal. About 10:30am, the DJ announced that the National Anthem would be played. The music started and without a word, the hundreds of people in attendance turned towards our tent where the Flag of the United States was proudly displayed. Made my day.

Just about over the most horrible case of the flu I've ever had. 103 deg. fever lasted several days, and after it subsided all I could do was sleep 20 hours a day for several more.

Got on the roof this AM and cleaned out the shop gutters, then made sure the project cars were still covered well enough, as we have lotsa rain headed this way soon.

Going back to work tomorrow. :)

There was a train wreck on a commuter train out of NYC where 7 people got killed.. my wife's cousin should have been on that train but decided to work late!

I'm not pleased about the wreck, just pleased he wasn't on it!

He's a lucky man Tom, your family doesn't need that on top of your Mother In Law passing!

Amen Joe. One major issue at a time. We are having her funeral on Saturday in NJ

Walmart is carrying models in Ellsworth again! They only had a Revell "What Year Is This Supposed to Represent?" Beetle, and I had no money.

Got a 300 CD changer at Goodwill for $6, here's to hoping it works!

Got a couple BB guns from a friend: a CO2 pistol and a Red Ryder, to which I'm affixing a scope tonight. Soda cans, beware...

Sold my bench top table saw yesterday. Miter saw is still up for sale. after it sells, I'm going to buy myself one of those sliding compound miter saws.

No idea what kind of work you do, but you'll always need a good table saw. I have an older Delta with a Uni-fence, it sits more than it gets used but when I need it it is there.

My bench top sees more action because of its mobility. Are you set up in a shop?

I bought the saw from a sorta friend that was looking for quick cash. It sat here for 3 years and was never used. Oh, I don't do any kind of work because I'm retired. never worked in the trades though.

Looked outside this morning and there was a dusting of snow. So I got up at 5:30, showered and got ready for work. At 6:00 my phone pinged with my work email. My boss saying to work from home today. Yes! I didn't have to go out in the cold and deal with traffic in snow.
