unclescott58 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Subbed two days in a row at my favorite school. Spring Lake Park High School. Both the staff and the kids are great there. It was great to be back.
crazyjim Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Received a letter from the VA today informing me that my claim was approved. I'm now a 50% disabled Veteran.
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Slipped the leash early and went for a 3 mile hike. Not too bad, a little hip and lower back pain, but overall a VAST improvement over the past incapacitated month.
wayne swayze Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 Had a couple of good days...saw the doctor... everything O.K. Tweaked my will a bit with my lawyer, and had my carpets cleaned today. Went for a short drive on this nice day.
Tom Geiger Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 It was my birthday today. In the past, bad things have happened on my birthday. My grandmother died on my birthday. I lost my job on my birthday. I once had a company that gave me a start date for a job rescind the offer on my birthday. Same week as 9-11. You get the idea. So my first thought was to stay home and hide under my bed. I thought better and decided just to just work from home today. The day went well, I didn't have to leave the house. Nothing bad happened. And I'm off to a weekend of celebration tomorrow. It's all good!
Quick GMC Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 finally pulled the trigger on some parts for my truck. CalTracs traction system, front and rear Hellwig sway bars, shocks, drop spindles, hangers and rear airbags.

charlie8575 Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Ed's pictures on this dreary, humid Monday. Nice pictures of Germany, too, Michael. The store ebbs and flows, and last week was quiet, but this week it's flowing. I'm hoping this is a good start to what's usually the busy season.Charlie Larkin
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 It's been my experience in the past that it's rare to find a car shop where you can leave your toolbox open overnight and expect to have all your stuff the next day. I just went back to work today, after having been out since August 1. Not a single thing missing at either shop. The crews both have a wide age range and varied ethnic and demographic backgrounds. Not a thief or "borrower" in the whole bunch. I'm a lucky man to be working with them.

Ace-Garageguy Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 (edited) do you have any idea what you just exposed? Do you? "Spike"? Frankly, I have no clue. My "Magic 8-ball" doesn't know either. Please share, so everyone can marvel at your insight. I wait with bated breath. Edited September 20, 2016 by Ace-Garageguy
