I'm glad it worked out well for you, Carl. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, so the saying goes. He had the procedure done before, he's just not looking forward to having it again. 1
Old Buckaroo Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Heat wave here this morning 23 degrees above, feels like a long sleeve t shirt day after a few weeks of being in the negative 30-40 temps. 😄 3

The doc wants to do top and bottom so he can shake hands in the middle. I will be sedated. 2
crazyjim Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Got 1 more colonoscopy next year. Doc tells me after 78 years old they don't do them anymore. Fine with me since I go every 3 years. 2
TonyK Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Wow, I thought me going every 5 years was bad! Have to do that since my mom had a bit of colon cancer many, many years ago. Thanks mom. I've been fine but you don't mess around with that so every 5 years it is. And it's time. 😒 2
89AKurt Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Purged stuff at the antique auto club swap meet. The GMC owner has 7 of our trucks, he bought the set of wheels that were on my truck, new shocks (that were the wrong application, dummy me), and brake shoes. A few other things sold too, because I was not interested in bringing back home. 7
Old Buckaroo Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Kurt , you're doing a great job to convince people to move to AZ when already having swap meets and we look like this ! 😄 5 2

Tom Geiger Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Big news here today! My older daughter has 3 daughters. One is 7 and 5 year old twins My younger daughter has 1 daughter, age 2. She is pregnant and discovered it was twins about a month ago! Today we had the gender reveal and I was predicting girl twins, which would give me 6 granddaughters. But I was wrong. She is having a girl and a boy! So I will have a little model building buddy! Yay! 🙂 8

When I used to ski, lived for deep snow, especially at Alta. 2
Tim W. SoCal Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Took my Sweetie out to one of our favorite breakfast spots this morning. When our server took our order, he didn't use the electronic Point Of Sale tablet like the other servers were using, and like has always ensued at this establishment in the past, but instead committed our order to memory. This restaurant invites us to tweek their menu items to accentuate personal tastes, and we take advantage of that. Anyway, after our order was taken and our server walked away, I commented to my wife "I wonder how much of our breakfast is going to come out wrong". When our food arrived, our order was PERFECT, and we enjoyed a GREAT breakfast. 6
Old Buckaroo Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Tim that's awesome you went and had a Perfect breakfast. My wife and I went for a drive (320 miles RT) today and go check on our friends property and house while he is out of state working. The scenery was fabulous, nothing like clean snow every direction you looked. The interstate 90 was closed up ahead due to 70-90 mph winds. Gotta love Montana ! 4 1
TonyK Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Happy for your breakfast experience. I sometimes wonder if a server gets so good at their job that they challenge themselves to do the memory thing. That and it should impress the customer. I know I'm impressed when they do that. 1

Heck some can't even get it right when they write it down, case in point a few days ago by phone, my wife ordered carry out dinner. She order a Ruben and specifically told the girl No cheese and No sourkraut. She repeated it twice, and they got it wrong. I had to go back and pickup her corrected order, not the first time they've done this. My bad for not checking the contents before leaving. I use the 3 strikes you're out system. I really hate to remove the restaurant from our goto food joint since they have great food and fair prices.

Falcon Ranchero Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Enough of a temporary melt up here that the driveway was clear enough to take the ‘71 Skyline out for a jaunt around the driveway ( it’s a bicycle not a car). Probably gotta put it away again soon but at least it’s getting closer to spring now. 2 degrees (Celsius) with the sun out today.

While them suthun boys be shuddering and turnin' on the seat heaters at anything below 60, a rapid 50-60 degree turnaround (chinook) here can even inspire a topdown ragtop drive Edited March 1 by mk11
