Got a call this afternoon and the caller ID said it was our vet.  One of the customers lost their dog and it was on the same med that one of mine recently started on for hypoplastic trachea and they wanted to donate it back to another user.  It's rare my big mouth is at a loss for words but it hit me as I graciously accepted.  I did the same thing when I lost one of mine earlier this year with anti-seizure medicine as I just had his refilled.

It is good to "pay it forward" sometimes. I have used the same philosophy with model parts quite a few times in the past.

Nah. All the pasty white skin, wrinkles, sagging fat rolls, and age spots scare the wildlife.  ;)

What pleased me today? After a period of RL getting in the way of a bunch of things (including modeling), on top of all that my doctor wanted me to get a colonoscopy. I told him that it's literally and figuratively and pain in the bum and he suggested a Cologard (Poop-in-A-Box) test which I agreed to.  Well, it came back 'Positive'.

Of course you think the worst when you get that result and I assumed that it meant positive for cancer. I started thinking about end of life things, like what do I do with all my stuff, start selling it? I stopped making long range plans, started thinking about how long I had to live, etc. I ended up working myself into such a frenzy I start imagining things and ended up going to the ER yesterday as I was seeing blood in my poop and thought for sure I only had days or weeks to live.

The ER staff was awesome and were sympathetic to my anxiety but they all were pretty sure I'd be sleeping in my own bed that night, I wasn't so sure. Blood work and a CT Scan and then waiting. When the results came back the doctor told me "We can't find anything, we're pretty sure you've basically had a panic attack. The blood you were seeing is probably your hemorrhoids" such has been my anxiety.

Then they explained what the Cologard test actually tests for. It only looks for blood in your dung, NOTHING ELSE! It does not test for cancer, it can't, that's not what it was designed for. Traces of blood are an indication of polyps what *may* be, but probably aren't cancerous. And because there was nothing in my blood tests to indicate cancer, a colonoscopy will enable the poop-chute tech to clip them out and be done with them.

So what am I pleased about? I am officially cancer free and will go on living my life, free to think about what life means to me and maybe get that Canadian Fishing trip in that I've dreamed about for many years!

Always nice to know you've still got some time, and a good time to be thankful for each remaining day. Glad you're OK.

Amen brother, Thanx Bill!

And something else I've learned... DON'T PANIC! Ha!

After the worst customer experience we've had with Lowe's it was so nice to do business with Home Depot. We ordered a stove from them (after Lowe's cancelled our order saying this stove doesn't exist) and they said it would be delivered today. They called yesterday to give us a time and the driver called today about an hour into that time and said he'd be here in 20 minutes. 2 friendly, efficient guys installed the stove and took away the old one without any issues. I'm very pleased.

Finally got around to driving my Traxxas 4-Tec 2.0 after fixing a few factory driveline related issues it took me a few years to figure out, broken parts, and a couple mods, plus trying the “trans brake” transmitter from my new No Prep R/C with it. Hadn’t driven it at all over the last 3 years, with the breakages and overheating, I had parked it not long before my niece was born and other than tinkering off and on since then, it’s just been collecting dust.

This is just a taste of what it’ll now do and it’s an absolute animal now, and this is only on a 5000mAh 7.4v LiPo with only a 25c discharge rate! With a bigger or higher discharge 7.4v pack or an 11.1v will probably make it too much for the driveway here and I’m honestly not sure how come the factory tires survived the pack?!

I do need to find it a new body, this Javelin body I put on it several years ago is beyond beat up now.

Not today but yesterday my son was born so I became a dad for the first time in my life.

He was a little to early since he was due on the 18th december, everything is fine with him but we have to stay at the hospital for a few weeks now to make sure everything goes as planned with him.

Because he was so early neither me or my girlfriend was prepared for this now, but we will figure it out somehow.

Congratulations to all three of you. Parenthood is challenging, but ultimately, it's the best thing you'll ever do.

Your prospective of life will forever be changed. Congratulations, and now you get to hand out cigars unless that is no longer traditional.
