landman Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 So it is done. This was a series of firsts with me, 1st model in about 18 years, 1st use of resin, 1st use of PE parts. I learned a lot, mostly by browsing these forums here. This is a replica of my personal Mustang. It sorta looks like it. Hope you like. I realize it isn't anywhere as neat and crisp as most of what one sees here, but someday maybe....
Maindrian Pace Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 I think it came out great! Nice job on the stance, not easy on that kit.
microwheel Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Nice job Pat, firsts are always the toughest ones, but they also help you figure so much out.
Twokidsnosleep Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 You have done a fine job on this, it looks fabulous!
landman Posted February 22, 2015 Author Posted February 22, 2015 Sharp build..resin body or scratchbuilt? Here's the text of the quote above. It is a resin coupe body that I cut.
Rob Hall Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Here's the text of the quote above. It is a resin coupe body that I cut. Ahh..I was wondering, haven't seen a resin convertible body. I have the Motor City coupe.
Mopar - D Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Nice build Pat and welcome back to the hobby.
mustang1989 Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 I had the fastback version of this kit and I couldn't get the stance right to save my neck when I built it 11 years ago and I certainly didn't do near as nice a job as you have pulled off here! Great job on this build Pat and like I've mentioned else where, I had a great time following this build with all the triumphs and stuggles you had.
59-Desoto Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Great looking ride for a summer's cruise.
Hard_2_Handle_454 Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Looks amazing. They need to make that kit.
Ron Hamilton Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Looks pretty good to me! But I have to ask you just one question. Are you happy with it?
Greg Pugh Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Welcome back to the hobby! Nice job on the car.
landman Posted February 22, 2015 Author Posted February 22, 2015 Looks pretty good to me! But I have to ask you just one question. Are you happy with it? Yes Ron, I am happy with it. It looks enough like its big brother to make me say I was successful.
bogger44 Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Looks real sharp. I'd be proud of it too, along with the 1:1!
landman Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 Since I had the 1:1 out for a spin, I thought it might like to meet its little brother. Made a lame attempt at parallax, perspective or juxtaposition, whatever you call the setup in the second photo.
