  1. I think they'll also be in the Revell 68 GTO street machine when it comes out.
  2. Even more amazing, a new tool of a subject many said would never happen! "It's too old, it'll never sell."
  3. I'm excited about the list of new releases. Steve, I do have apprehensions about the 68 GTO. The side window openings look a little wonky and those Rally IIs don't look any deeper than current issues. I'm disappointed the 65 GTO only has dog dishes, when Tim said hubcaps, I was thinking full hubcaps. Not every muscle car came with "doggies" and "rallies". In fact, very few did! Most had hubcaps - common full hubcaps. What ever happened to wheel covers?
  4. Looks like Don nailed it, early on with his guess back in June, on the first page, even.
  5. Well, I sure can see how the Chevelle will tie in with the newly cloned Olds convertible (Streaker) and the 65 Mustang fastback (funny car). Steve, is this a complete clone of the original kit? Will the Chevelle have all of the scripts and trim like the original? If so, I can see conversion possibilities. Here's hoping the stock version is in the near future. I'm not disappointed at all!
  6. There's a lot more details than just a hood and grille that differentiate a 68 from a 69 Barracuda. Taillights, side markers, front panel shape and rocker panel trim. Also interior upholstery differed. But, I'm not sure how much of these details the original S&M Cuda even had. You've got your work cut out for you if you're making the current 69 into a 68. BTW, the grille on the 69 looks much more like a 68 than it does a 69. May be usable.
  7. I can't vouch for the MG, but the Corvette was NOT a quality scale model. Very big and very basic. Not very accurate, either. Speaking of model cars, Hot Rod sponsored a contest in the 80s where you had to use any of the "Hot Rod" issue Revell kits to enter. Sounds like a product placement boon for Revell!
  8. The Rockford one was, but I think the others were by someone else. Not his artistic style and not on his list. I found the others on a Jalopnic site.
  9. That was never a real model kit, just someone's "air box" idea. Before anyone starts looking for them - there were never any models produced of Rockford's Firebird, Newhart's Oldsmobile Delta 88, or Alf's Ferrari 308 either, so don't ask.
  10. I used it to recreate the stainless steel roof on the Revell 57 Cadillac Biarritz. It worked well at making the S.S. look, but if the part flexes at all, it gets wrinkles that detract from the effect. Note to self: once the foil is applied, don't bend the part!!
  11. DO NOT USE LACQUER THINNER AT ALL!!!!! It will dissolve plastic, quickly and permanently.
  12. I'm still waiting for the 85 Camaro Z28 kit. Spoiler Alert: THAT ONE IS A SNAP KIT TOO!!!! There, I just saved you guys 40 bucks! Don't say you weren't warned.
  13. I see a Maverick in there too! Are these photos from someplace in Meheeco?
  14. I guess I was thinking "simplified version" that seemed like a Snap kit to me. Which was also in the Yamahauler of many years ago.
  15. According to Wikipedia, he was in hospice care, so I guess they knew the end was near. Hopefully, passed away peacefully. "Gallagher died on November 11, 2022, in hospice care at his home in Palm Desert, California. The cause of death was organ failure from numerous heart attacks he suffered over the course of his life. He was 76."
  16. Identify all the pictures with Chihuahuas in them. □ I am not a robot.
  17. Works the same way. Highlight the search bar, copy the entire address. Paste it here. It should convert to a clickable view.
  18. Anybody know if the Bronco is the glue or snap kit?
  19. I'm excited about the prospect of cloning old kits. Looks like it's a lot simpler and thereby cheaper than having to completely tool up from scratch. It sure has brought a lot of surprises lately! Steve, please also consider the possibility of adding long lost parts variations to your current stable of available kits. Ideas include: 72 Pontiac Ventura II. Fenders, nose, hood, cowl and bumpers to the 72 Nova kit. Since those parts were initially in the same tool, it would make an interesting variation of an old standby. Yes the Pontiac had a Chevy engine. Open Road camper van parts. Clone all the unique camping parts and add a V-groove inside the van body for the window and high top roof options. 75,76 Pontiac Ventura options. Tool the nose as a separate piece, along with the hood, cowl and bumpers. MPC Nova could serve multiple kit variations. Tool separate nose options for the 86 El Camino SS to make multiple years available. Include the bench seat. It's a great kit, I just don't always want to build the ultra-limited edition SS. Grille options for the 78 Dodge pickup. 72, 74, 76. Bonus points for the 80s square light grille with hood. Grille options for the 79 Ford F350 Camper Special. Bonus points for a regular wheelbase long bed box.
