  1. Super clean build. Great looking color on that particular car. Revell kits can be a snug fit when body meets chassis.
  2. Great looking color and clear.
  3. Great looking G-body Cutlass. Paint, panel lines and decals all done beautifully. These were good looking cars in their day and have held up well since then.
  4. Definitely a very nice paint job. And yeah they can get frustrating at times. You persevered nicely.
  5. Great looking paint and the lighting is perfect.
  6. Great looking build. I'm impressed with how nice the craft paints appear on your builds. They look just as nice as auto lacquers.
  7. Very clean build on a rarely seen model. Chrome appears to have a very nice shine. I've had issues with duller chrome on some (but not all) of the older Johan kits.
  8. Paint shine looks fabulous. And I've found the more work and patience a model requires is always more rewarding when the build is complete. Great work.
  9. The exterior color and grey striping really make it stand out. The louvered quarter windows also an excellent choice. And the grill and wheels detailed beautifully.
  10. Color definitely suits the car. Very nice work overall.

    Another Camaro

Looks great and all of the trim is very cleanly done. Excellent work detailing the grill. Medium blues work well on that model.
  12. Great looking color and overall build quality. The Hurst wheels work quite well with this model.
  13. Thank you Carl, Jim and David. I like most shades of green and fortunately this one has pretty good availability.
  14. Great looking G/A and very impressive work on the engine compartment. Really like the body lines and the overall appearance of the front bumper and the "squeezable nose".
  15. Thanks Chris and Hector. A reissue would definitely be nice. Thanks Anthony. Here is a picture of the clear I used on this build and a number of others the last couple years.
  16. Great looking build and one of Fords best looking cars of the eighties.
  17. Thanks Glen. Thanks Steve. I think the rub strips on the front and rear bumpers along with the foiling for the tail light ribs are very important details in creating the proper look. Thanks Charles. And true the color works quite well with the light green metallics offered by GM in the mid '70's. Now if I could just find a light metallic blue that was offered during that time period.
  18. Thanks ed, Garry, Bruce, Dennis and Doyle. I've always preferred the first two generations of the Monte Carlo but think they still look good in the G-body era. Thanks Steve and Hanjo. The Landau top was the best look on these cars. Thanks Jay. It's a removable black vinyl that comes in 12"x12" sheets. I picked up a 5 pack for about 10 bucks a few years back from Amazon. It's actually much more than I'll ever need. Thanks Jeremy, Larry, Eric and James. Thanks Richard. While I like stacked lights on the '76-'77 model years I actually prefer the '73-'75's with the round lights. Thank you Barry, Gerald, John and Terry. Thanks David and Al. Thanks Curtis. I agree on the need for a reissue. Thanks EMRE. It's a relatively quick build until the final details. Especially the time it takes for me to foil the tail light ribs. Thanks Mike, David and Craig.
  19. Built this 1/25 scale '77 Monte Carlo from the Revell release that was molded in bright green. Model has been painted in Dupli-Color Hampsted Green with Rust Oleum for the clear. I thought the color was a decent match for the Medium Green offered that year and generally have a particular liking for these mid 70's GM A-bodies in green.. The black rocker striping and bumper rub strips are from the vinyl sheet used on my previous build. This time around I applied the vinyl with canopy glue as opposed to white glue which seemed to provide a better bond particularly to the bumpers. For the body colored areas between the grill sections very thin strips of the vinyl were also used. And after priming and painting canopy glue was also used for attachment. I like the Rally wheels on these cars (along with the Turbine wheels) but decided to switch it up and went with the wire wheel covers from the AMT '65 Chevelle wagon with spare wheel backs from the AMT '66 Wildcat. I sanded down the thickness of the wheel covers to pull the tires inwards from the body but I still think the tires sit out a bit too far. So as always there is room for improvement.
  20. Great looking factory color and overall work on the build.
  21. Absolutely perfect paint work and really has a 1:1 look in the outdoor photos. Rally wheels (which I've found tricky to detail accurately) add to the realism. I've never given much thought to painting tires but I do see the difference you have created versus what's offered in the box.
  22. Very nice build and an appropriate color combination for that era Ford.
  23. Perfect clear finish and top notch detailing throughout. Looks like Chevys were fairly popular in your neighborhood back then. Glad to hear you're doing better Mike.
  24. Stunning build in an awesome color combination.
  25. Great looking paint, foil and detail work on the engine bay. I like the floor mat in the cargo area. Looks very realistic.
