  1. I second the recommendation on the Paasche H. It's relatively inexpensive, works great and has 3 different nozzles for spraying adjustability.
  2. Future should work fine. I used some embossing powder that I got at Hobby Lobby. Painted over it and it looked fine.
  3. You, sir, have skills. Beautiful job on one of my favorite race cars.
  4. Nice job, great detail and I love the color!
  5. Speaking of guilty pleasures, Battlebots!
  6. Formula 1 driver Carlos Reutemann passed away. He drove through the Killing Years. Should have won a F1 title. He was that good.
  7. You did an excellent. Yes, that's my favorite vintage Bugatti as well.
  8. My older brother, who passed away last Tuesday, recommended this one to me. I've got several episodes recorded and will watch it soon.
  9. I wish some outlet would broadcast Coach. Loved that show. Jerry Van Dyke's best work of his career.
  10. Welcome Hans. Your English is excellent. It sounds like you and your son are making some good memories.
  11. The Andy Griffith Show (the black and white episodes) and Star Trek TOS are shows I will watch till I can't breathe. They never get old to me. TOS is on every Saturday night and programmed into my DVR.
  12. McQueen and Hoffman gave among heir best performances. If you want to see Dustin Hoffman in something completely different, search for Straight Time. It costars Theresa Russell, Gary Busey, Harry Dean Stanton, M. Emmet Walsh, and Kathy Bates. He made it just around the time he did Tootsie. The two performances couldn't be more different. Also, look up High Risk https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082516/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_102 Siskel and Ebert rated it as one of the top 10 hidden gems of the 80s along with Straight Time. PS My brother visited Devils Island as a tourist back in the 90s.
  13. True. The way The Americans interwove actual events, such as the assassination attempt on Reagan into the storyline, was brilliant.
  14. The Americans (best series finale of all time), Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, Mad Men and then for something lighter, The Andy Griffith Show.
  15. It's the hardest job I ever had. 😅
  16. Jennifer sure kept old Herb tore up. Funny character. RIP, Frank. Thanks for the laughs.
  17. Nice custom work and a cool color.
  18. I put layer of Peal and Stick wrap on top of the jar and then screw the lid on. Keeps it clean. If they're stuck, soak them in real hot water for a while. Then go for the pliers. Helps sometimes.
  19. Great job! Looks a lot better than the stuff I turned out at 13.
  20. I agree with using the Micro Scale decal film. It works, as does the clear lacquer method. Tamiya can be a little hot so be careful with it. As an additional tip, I use a small flat brush about 1/8" wide to position decals. Wet it and it'll carry a drop of water onto the decal. Helps the decal float and move easily. Use the tip of the brush against the edge of the decal for positioning. I use square or wedge shaped make-up sponges to wick the excess water away. Also I use round make-up sponges held between my thumb and middle finger to roll over the top of the decal to help it mold into place and wick any remaining water away. I build race cars so I work with lots of decals.
  21. This post should go into the What Did You Screw Up Today thread. 🤣
