espo
Just think of the fun you would have doing "Wheelies". I guess it's their money and time to do with as they please.

CabDriver
It's easy to be like "urgh, that's awful"...but if that guy said "wanna drive this?" I'd be in the cab before he'd finished asking
Rider
Someone had fun building it, if you look close there are a number of very creative artist touches. I would think if the front of the cab was stretched to the engine it would drastically change the look. Regardless, it's an individuals creative vision and labour of love. Muncie
It's art, it's won awards at big car/rat rod shows - have seen it a couple of times and had a close look - the metal work and art on the cab are amazing - If you see it in person, you won't walk by without taking a longer look. more on the artist and the truck: https://www.pbs.org/video/oregon-art-beat-metal-artist-kelly-phipps/ http://www.kellyphipps.com/automotive-design.html Edited November 4, 2018 by Muncie
bobthehobbyguy
I think its cool. Personally there are a lot of automotive trends that I think are silly.
Richard Bartrop
Silly? Compared to what? You could argue that the whole idea of drag racing is pretty silly, but sometimes a little silly is exactly what you want.

Snake45
It looks like something Monogram issued in the '70s, and then someone built it as a rat rod. Ick!

Well, considering that art is subjective and a Jackson Pollock paint splatter is considered art as well then neither is my preferred taste in art. To each his own I guess. ChrisBcritter
Needs another engine to fill the empty space between the first one and the cab.

russosborne
Hmm, I'm thinking 1960 or so Chevy something. I'd really like to see what is under the tarp, though. Russ
Foxer
I suspect someone from MCM Forum had something to do with that!

Bainford
I'd be much more interested if the cab was mounted over the front wheels, where it belongs. Then it would be cool.

With those wheels, there's a good chance it's a little F3 car, a Brabham, or a Cooper T-56, rather like this...(Steve McQueen owned and raced one in SoCal in 1962. It was raced very successfully by another owner through 1965.) NOTE: My eyes aren't focusing yet this AM. If it's not a Cooper, it's something very similar. EDIT 2 : Nope. Not a T-56: Edited November 5, 2018 by Ace-Garageguy
Ace-Garageguy
Here ya go on the transporter... Owned by Dean Moon (yeah, Moon Equipped). NYLIBUD
Not a very big fan of rat rods. Some are pretty cool, and some are just ridiculously stupid. This thing in the video,to me is stupid. But to each his own.And the metal artist certainly has a lot of talent, and she's not too bad looking herself. There is just something about that era of race cars that I can't resist. That car definitely wasn't built for gas mileage. But cool to see it still exists, although not in great shape. Thanks, Russ
