First model swap since October.  One of the vendors brought his die cast.  A young man talked his dad into the Maisto mid 50's Chrysler 300 and the 69 Dodge Charger.....nice choices!  I had been talking with the vendor and then I see a 69 Cougar back fill the space formerly occupied by the 300.  I teased the seller about holding back so we walked over to see what had not made it to the table yet.  BOOM....first thing that materializes is the 'cuda.  A few other nice ones and not being a Ford man, I caved on the Mustang.  $50 for the trio.

Found this at Wally world yesterday, 78' Bronco in 1/24th scale. There were other colors available.

There's at least eight editions.  I've found the found all the one colored ones shown at WM.  The ones with the cap are harder to find.

Warning....do not drop them.  I had a black one and dropped it (still in the packaging) and the outer panel of the drivers side rear fender shot off.

Interesting, and I thought that the ones without the cap were just missing.

Greetings...

A visit to the Detroit Autorama Toy Show turned up a slightly damaged 1:24th Danbury Mint 1969 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am for $25.  The exterior rear view mirror was missing, while the rear suspension needed a small amount of sorting given the driveshaft had separated from the differential and allowed the two-piece 'functioning' shock absorbers to fall out of alignment.  Carefully bending the driveshaft yoke on the back to reset the same in relation to the differential while also aligning bottom half of each shock to slide into the top half of these assemblies allowed the rear end to be reset without the use of glue.  Not terrible then...

A 1:25th Revell '69 Camaro Z/28 plastic kit afforded a replacement exterior rear view mirror (seen in-position and largely happy), hence it's fairly presentable after a bit of cleaning and work to darker the tires via the use of Lexol/Vinylex.  The body was washed here and there, while Mequiar's Quik Wax worked it's usual wonders with the plastic 'glass'.  The box, foam shell and paperwork was included.  Thanks...

Just bought a 1928 Stutz Black Hawk from the Danbury Mint in 1/24 scale.  I already had one that I had converted to the 1928 Le Mans entry #1 but it was missing a few parts and thought this cheap model would supply what I was missing.

Now that I see it I have decided just to leave it as a barn find model.

The cobwebs were included at no extra cost.

Fortunately I was able to repair the spindle by replacing the missing rod.  Everything is attached and works in the model from the steering wheel to the drop link to the spindle and to the tie rod, wow.
